Everyone's Quitting

I would say as an insider that folks that are leaving most were "poison" individuals that were there to collect $$$$$. Now that actual work is needed to be accomplished in order to launch next drug successfully, they are leaving. Definitely a changing of the guard here in which they seem to be bringing in younger, talented individuals that have potential to move the company forward. Just my two cents. It is a hectic environment for those that don't know what it is to actually make decisions and put in the effort.

Are you referring to the new drug coming out for HPP? It hasn't gotten approval yet, correct? How's the sales team for that division that was hired recently doing? I'm guessing they're working on patient identification. Are they having any luck? Very small market I believe, could be tough to identify.

#60. Said like only new management that hasn't launched 2 indications here could. Or maybe was in EU for US real launches. After 2 real launches. US ones. Comes back with you whip marks.

A lot of good people have left recently. Even more after this month...

that is right! on this board we were all talking how all the inside home office people have bailed out after bonuses and roll outs. In addition to the 5 inside nurses patient support, this year we lost our chief legal counsel, "JM", and chief science officer, "SS". Couple big names in IT (sorry cant remember initials). And I am sure a few others, people just disappear. Inside dismantling. Not small roles, again not deadweight, experts even.
But the outside has remained stable, or at least we have not heard of who has left yet.
We forget the field sales team in addition to above $$$ works on the quarter, ending next week. it will be interesting to see who goes in early April.

Don't forget DJ too. A lot of good people have recently left and more to come. The company will try to hide it or not tell the field (again). The people who left were hard workers and functional team experts. They had a big part in the success the company has had. The new people are stiffs from big pharma who are not going to get things done. People are leaving due to:
-Public failure in transplant studies and also the failed STEC indication
-Global KOLs publicly talking about new complement inhibitors with competitors
-OneSource, med affairs, and RCS team turnover
-Burn-out from constant bullying and toxic management
-Little upside to future equity battling net stops every quarter (just to tread water)

Yes, very few patients according to public data. The public estimates suggest there are more VPs at Alexion, than there are patients with HPP!

It's a miserable place to work. no respect for the individual and you get the feeling senior management actually take pleasure in verbally and mentally bullying junior staff. it used to work because people would stay for the RSUs but now the stock awards are nothing like they used to be so you don't even get the reward for putting up with all the c**p.

it's fine if you are in the top échelons of management, given $700k as a signing bonus and over $5m in stock though.....

A ton of constant turnover in this company. It really is dog years

I am a nurse and being recruited for a position at Alexion. I have read all the posts. are you saying do not bother to come there for the HPP drug?

There are probably more VPs at Alexion than total patients within the ped indication for HPP. Actually, there are probably more patients on any Alexion medicine combined, than Alexion employees in the world combined....

Nurse inside? Cheshire soon to be new haven ? Or field.
Inside run away. Or walk in and leave your RN , pride and soul at door
You are nothing more that mini sales pressure pt to get on and stay on drug. Stops and starts is what entire job revolves around. Pt. Advocacy.....only as long is its to buy more drug.
Worse field treats you like you are their secretary or order taker. What do you mean you could not instantly take my call? You went to lunch! You needed a bio break? You had to speak to one of your other prima Dona reps ? Ya. That's being a nurse.
All the managers and the director bend over and quake in fear of sales team management
Who are crazy hot heads hanging onto a sinking raft.
