EPBU

They are using the part time status and taking advantage of us. We need to be available full time which is total bs.
This job started off good but has changed drastically.

It's true and they know they need to tell sooner than later or the good talent jumps ship with only a year to go...I am not a Manager I have been on the contract since the beginning the job is different but still very flexible and definitely not full time

Let's just say both companies value each other. The representatives and managers on both sides are held in very high esteem by one another. The overwhelming majority of flex reps are cream of the crop pros. Multiple award-winners who appreciate the opportunity to stay in the game and earn a few bucks without the stress of a full-time pharma role. If they choose to go back to full time, the best find it easy. Many have, either with the EPBU or with Publicis or with a manufacturer.

Most pros get the concept that results are rewarded with more opportunity. That is especially true of EPBU reps and managers, but it is also true of any Publicis employee. This company takes care of its people. That may not be the experience of those who complain here, or even those who play here for sport, but it is the experience of many, including me. With any assignment, your objective should be to be the best you can be. It matters. More to you than the employer.

No top-tier rep needs to hear that, though some might tune in to hear the latest. It's a year before re-up time on a phenomenal assignment. They are interested, because they are smart. The client is smart, too. The meeting was exceptional. EPBU meetings always are. This was the best in many ways, IMO. May there be many more.

To the "This job is more full-time" and "My manager, who I will identify, is bad!" and "How much will I get paid to drive to my storage unit?" crew. We all know better. At least, I do. Spend more time selling and less time embarrassing yourself, almost anonymously. If you need a change, talk to your manager. If your performance is good, you will get help to find a role more in line with your needs. The line of candidates who want what you have is long and impressive.

You are welcome.

What a pompous, self impressed prick you are.

Did you know the negative comment count on this board about the EPBU is lower than any pharmaceutical thread?

Tell you what, if I were the DM of some known malcontents, I would fire everyone and start over. Why? Because unhappy reps don't sell. Not only that, they poison the well.

I think we have 4 or 5 of them responsible for 90 percent of the BS. Time to say goodbye.

Here is a hint, nightmare DM, get them on a plan, just so they know exactly what the expectations are. That's what I would do, and I will bet they know who I am. Right __? Know who I am? 'cause I know who you are. I didn't use your initials. Not because of fear. I have none. I do have class, though. My patience is temporary and waning. Get it?

What you did was wrong. What you do to drag everyone else down is wrong. This is the wrong forum for change. So are anonymous letters. You are salespeople. If you have a problem, fix it with diplomacy. Otherwise, get out of the business.

Know what the general EPBU will think about this post? Nothing! LOL they won't even see it.

You are welcome.

I heard the contract isn't as strong as it was and therefore, they have cancelled car deal.

The reps weren't really stoked about the deal, so . . . yeah. The company listened. Probably the most fair deal for reps is the one we have. Nothing to do with contract strength.

If you really think about it, someone has to make money. If you want to go to a fleet, they make money for doing what they do. The reimbursement rate at the federal standard is generous. If it matters to you, you aren't selling anyway. You do better as-is in any scenario I can imagine. At least with the POS deal offered to the field. Want me to pay you for a car my spouse can not drive?

No.

The company did the right thing.

It is so sad as I read through these post how many justify troll manager responses are on here. I wish you would start your own thread and vent through that.

A. For the managers that reply on this thread and have to justify the corporate line... you fail every time you post. Majority of the EPBU have been around longer than most will admit and have seen and heard it all. We can read through the lines and have enough sense to know when the wool is trying to be pulled over our eyes. This is a very intelligent group. Just STOP.
B. Everyone on this contract was very happy until Archie became manager (thank goodness he is gone) and started to overload our unit with additional responsibilities. There was no increase in salary to compensate for these additional responsibilities. There was a promise from the Merck management to the EPBU that they would protect this unit from sensless meetings, tasks and duties. Well, that has failed. I don't mind doing these extra tasks and responsibilities but you need to compensate us for the complete change in the job. Our wages were fair for how the contract USED to be but NOT for what it is TODAY.
C. For the folks that say they have no problem getting their work done in 24 hours (including all the reports, conf calls, etc.) Then you are not working! Yes, I am now looking into full-time. I really was afraid when I took this position that the company would start to take advantage of us and get as much out of us as possible. Well, it has happened! Shame on us for not voicing our concerns to corporate and shame on corporate for lying! And shame on corporate for abusing and taking advantage of your employees!
D. As for the cars....Shame on Touchpoint for teasing all of us out there and keeping us in limbo. I have rolled so many miles on my car that a federal gas reimbursement amount will never cover it. From what I understand there was an option for those that did not want the company car and wanted to keep yours. I guess your in luck if you happen to have a postage stamp territory, however for those of us that have larger territories we are killing our cars and pocket books! The wear and tear on these cars far surpasses anything the federal gas allowance can payout. And now that they are trying to figure out how to unwind their screw up we all have to sit here and wait! If you do not want to give us cars then give us a gas card along with a car allowance!

So this comes down to Yes I am sure MERCK wants to keep us. We are SUPER CHEAP labor and we all work extremely hard. (I am sure our ROI is through the roof.) Check out it out ~ 1 part-timer selling DULERA vs at least 4 AZ and 2 GSK reps and 2 TEVA reps. We ARE good it is a shame that MERCK and Touchpoint want to treat us this way to keep their bottom dollar down. Compensate and Offer Benefits to Reward your hard working employees. People will stay and be completely loyal and guess what...work harder! Otherwise you will keep spending money to refill vacancy spots that corporate has created by driving good employees away!

Very well said.

You think so?

This is true: Sr. management of both companies value the representatives in a way I have not seen in my career. They listen to everything. I mean, everything. Every DM has a voice, and every one of them uses it on behalf of their representatives. If a representative has something to say, they should say it to their DM. Their DM has no fear or reservation about speaking up in this environment. The communication from the field to senior management is seamless and constant. I have said this for years. It is still true.

This is a big partnership of very talented people in all roles. It is a big ship. It takes time to make directional changes. But, those changes happen. Those include just for representative changes. Vacation time happened :) because representatives deserved it. Raises happened--every single year--because representatives deserved it. Know anyone else who has gotten raises every year? Me, either.

A lot has happened. All of it good. Can improvements be made? Always. Is this the right venue to offer criticism, constructive or otherwise? No.

Think about the number of people who would take your phone call. If the poster above called the person he or she called out, that person would answer the phone. Say what you want, but that guy cares about every single person in his organization in a way that is as unusual as it is awesome.

We have a big job to do. We are a team. We are unique, and we are valuable. To all of us.

So, I don't think it was well said.

Wow, you are one incredibly long winded rambling fuck. No one is ever going to read all that rant fuckface. Lose some weight, you'll feel better and maybe finally get a social life and not be dependent on this silly site to drive your self esteem.

Losing weight is a priority of mine, thanks. As for my self-esteem, lol, I am pretty good there. As for nobody reading what I wrote, I know. Nobody comes here. Except for a few. You have been around for a while. What do you need to do for your self-esteem? Get a job? Maybe that would help. LOLOLOLOL you are a constant. Keep on keeping on . . . fuckface! LMFAO.

BTW, if I know you, I hope you are doing well and can someday get over it. ;-\ it's been too long.
