energy sales rep

you would be better off asking Ethicon or Covedien, what they think about it. We know and they know its the best out there . Its also the hardest to sell.

I guess if it was the best out there, the sell would be pretty easy. I mean, if it is so amazing, surgeons would be knocking down the Materials Managers' doors and demanding that this product is available to them.

I don't believe the $150 either. I just had a screening interview for an associate TM and they told me $50000 base and $20000-25000 bonus/commission. Are they trying to get me cheap or is this typically where this position starts?

I got a call from a recruiter about this job yesterday. She said something between 100-150 is what to expect 1st year. Still, I havent heard of this Thunderbeat device til now and I tend to agree with the sentiment that it would be a tough sell over accounts committed to harmonic and ligasure boxes already. Want a new job, but i'm a little leery on this. Feel free to speak up OLY reps and tell me if I should pursue this. The quoted $$$ is right for me, but the skeptic in me is saying this is gonna be a bitch to sell.

well you would be a jr rep, territory assistant, associate rep ..what ever you want to call it . So yes that is what you would earn . The 150ish is for territory rep not associate

$$$ for a Territory manager will depend on the specific territory dollar volume. There are territories that are currently vacant that will make well over $150k first year.

The turnover is due to Olympus being a highly compliant driven organization. They are watched very closely by LE and do not want to get fined....again.

If you are ok with doing a lot of online reporting, forecasting, etc and working for a manger that will know your every move then you'll be fine.

Really…is that the answer for energy turnover? Or, is it not being on any GPO contracts?

Thunderbeat is a piece of crap. And you're right - trying to sell it against Covidien and J & J is a waste of time. They are entrenched. Seriously overpriced piece of junk. No one wants the ultrasonic side of Thunderbeat.

You must have spoken to my materials manager, this is the stone cold fact, olympus is not going to be a player in any hospital. No major GPO's, drs prefer covidien and ethicon, sorry olympus you are not ready to run with the big dogs.
