Electric Vehicle

I just heard that the first AZ rep's house caught fire due to their EV charger. I wonder what kind of carbon emmission when someone's home burns to the ground?

And so it begins, this is just the first of many that will happen. When the lawsuits start maybe they will put us back into the hybrid vehicles but they most likely won’t.

Check yourself and get your facts straight. It happened, the garage burned to the ground along with everything in it and it is already known the cause was the EV charger and/or vehicle itself.

Why would this be a surprise too you? Employees these things are being forced on have been voicing legitimate concerns over these and other real and legitimate safety concerns from the get go. All of it has fallen on Pascal's tone deaf ears and his my ideology or the highway management style and edicts get crammed down everyone's throats. This incident will not be the last. Lets just hope the next one doesn't end up killing someone.

The EV technoolgy and associated risks are in their infantcy. The EV decision is premature and is going to put the company at a significant liability risk. Not sure that will be enough to get the power(s) that be to back off their edicts, though. It became clear a while ago employee safety was secondary to other concerns and agendas.

My guess is they'll advise we have to charge outside now.

Their email says our safety is their top priority. They wouldn't put us in EVs if that was the case. I do hope they get sued. There are many reasons these vehicles put our lives at greater risk.

Even if someone dies in a house fire caused by their company issued EV, the company will consider that to be a small price to pay to be able to show the insane woke of the world that AZ is doing their share! The CEO of Hertz was fired because the idiot authorized the purchase of $250,000,000 of EV vehicles because the fool thought people would break their necks to rent one of them! Now they are selling hem off at huge discounts to try and recoup some of the loss. Again, an out-of-touch CEO with no sense of market reality. Mark my words, someone is going to be hurt by one of these vehicles!

Just scored me a slightly used Hertz Tesla for $11,000. They lost their ass on that deal. Thanks Hertz!

These people are completely delusional. I bet the CEO doesn't even know why he was fired or why people didn't want to rent them

China keeps building 3 coal fired power plants every week and Brazil keeps cutting down their rainforest. But your car is going to save the world!
My cousin sells to mining companies in Colorado. Colorado closed all its coal fired plants in the past years. He got a called to a coal mine that was reopening in S Colorado. He asked them “where is this going?” The guy laughed and said they ship it to China. You cannot make this stuff up!!!

Actually China produces less than half the C02 per capita than the US. So if China had the same number of people as the US they would produce less than half as much C02 as we do. Also China added 50% of the world's renewable energy capability in 2023.

I know thinking is hard for you but you should at least try so you won't sound so dumb.
