Electric Vehicle

Quit your complaining. It's not about you. It's about the earth.

yes exactly.. It is much more sustainable to mine cobalt and lithium. You see, these are non renewable resources so the earth will be much better off once they’re all gone. Also we are already extremely efficient at mining coal which we mostly use to generate the electricity for the EVs. We have completely thought this through, and it has nothing to do with corporate greed or politics

It’s not free. They charge us for it every paycheck. It is a forced car payment with nothing to show for it when the lease is up. Turrible.

it is. AZ doesn’t care. They don’t care that we don’t want to drive a shoe box. They don’t care about our safety. We can complain all we want but no more gas cars at AZ. It doesn’t aline with whatever rebate or money AZ is getting for pushing this leftist agenda

If you aren’t too attached to AZ, this is a good time to look for a job that either doesn’t involve driving around all day or one that offers a generous allowance with freedom of choice.

Honest feedback on the VW I’d.4:

-It’s a nice riding car, fun to drive, very comfortable.
- it really only makes it about 200 miles on a full charge
- it’s a 45 minute charge on a FAST charger. Take note because 99% of the public chargers in my territory are not fast chargers and are only 5-10 kWh. You need over 100kwh charger to charge in less than an hour
- in rural territories you might not have a fast charger within 30 miles, so you will be driving out of the way
- if you do frequent overnights you obviously need an additional charge than normal.

granted this is not a common occurrence but I just did an overnight in a part of my territory 3 hours away. I had to charge 4 times in 2 days ~3 hours of charge time and ~1hour of detours to find a fast charger.

so 16 work hours. 25% of them spent charging. 50 % of them driving. So let’s assume you are extremely effective.. maximum 25% of your day doing your job. This job is becoming more of a joke everyday.

EV email - it’s moronic for the email to state that the number one concern from reps is charging station. No. They’re wrong. It’s safety. It’s a shoe box we are driving that can blow up.

It’s well past the time that we get rid of whiny entitled reps!

Been trying to tell fleet that for months. Live in a very rural area. may not average 180 miles a day because of overnights. I know a guy who has the ID 4 and he shared that in one of the states I cover, if you can find a charger, they are not optimal and it takes 60 minutes to charge ~30 miles worth of charge. Seriously.....
6-7 hours to get a full charge?
Just stick with the hybrids until the technology gets WAY better. A 10 gallon fill gets me 450+ miles and only 5 minutes to fill. It is OK to admit mistakes were made and assumptions on viability didn't pan out.

They won't listen. The fleet manager told me it's Pascal who wants these changes by 2025 & he doesn't listen to nobody. He wants to showoff & make others work for it!!!

The EV email is a joke. Who believes what's being spewed out. Our biggest concern are charging sights? How about size, safety, comfort and convenience. Woke AZ at it's best!
