Electric Vehicle

So how does Pascal know how my electricity is generated? We use coal locally to generate 80% of the electricity locally. Maybe Pascal will be help install solar panels on the roof of my house to charge the EV? That would be impressive as it would take a week to charge an EV for a days trip. Lol

Pascal no care. Pascal bizy puttin' just for men in Pascal hair. C, it so black, Pascal hair jet black

You don’t. This is part of our zero carbon sustainability plan. In the long run it’s good for the environment, however we will need to roll with the changes. It will require more planning on our part (like remembering to plug it in every night), but AZ is footing the bill for plug in station at your home, expensing added electrical costs, etc. It won’t cost you anything to switch, but will save AZ and our environment a lot. Just think - when gas was up $2/gallon - with 6,000 co cars, costs went up $12k for just 1 extra gallon of gas per car. We take that for granted. AZ is committed to being a leader. Let’s do our part to support our employer and our environment. Plus….it will likely be 2023 before cars are delivered due to all the chip shortages. Let’s find the positive in the change - like we still have a company car than only the negative. None of us want to foot the entire bill for car payment (esp in 2022), gas, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation. Still a huge perk despite the type of car.
This person is clueless. Do you know how much electricity has gone up in cost in some parts of the country and anticipated to increase by another 6% this summer? It will be more expensive than gas. Plus safety issues will open up to litigation for them forcing these cars on us.

dumbass rep and a legal scholar

Ev is a fad kinda like parachute pants and shoulder pads.

We don’t want to “save the planet” from human beings; we want to improve the planet for human beings. We need to say this loudly and proudly. We need to say that human life is our one and only standard of value. And we need to say that the transformation of our environment, the essence of our survival, is a supreme virtue. We need to recognize that to the extent we deny either, we are willing to harm real, flesh-and-blood human beings for some anti-human dogma.

If you believe saving human life is your one and only standard of value, why not lower your drug prices so they are affordable to even the lowest income levels. And don't give me any bullshit about AZ & ME, no hoops, no robbing Peter to pay Paul.

If EVs were so good, we would not be having this discussion and everyone would want to drive one.BUT- they aren't and we don't!! Second- Us saving the planet, that's got to be a joke. If God gave us a brain and we found a fuel that works well. God can also repair the environment when God wants to. Chill out and drive a hybrid.

Bro, the hottest selling vehicles are EVs. The auto industry can’t keep up with consumer demand and dealerships are selling EVs at MSRP ++! Get your facts straight.

is that why Tesla just cut the price on theirs 7500? Go to a VW lot.. you’ll see about 10 of the id.4s they’re giving us. All cars were selling over msrp the last 2 years. That shit is over, only the brainwashed wants EVs

Yep—the EV at this point in time really solves nothing and comes with a shitload of problems of its own. It truly is only a way for someone (or company) to outwardly posture that they care more about alleged climate change and wokeness than someone else who drives a modern efficient gas or hybrid vehicle. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem if someone willingly wants to drive an electric car and wants to put up with the issues it presents while deluding themselves that they are really making a difference. The fact remains that in reality they are only moving the actual emissions from driving their EV to a different location—-the coal, oil, or gas fired plant locations that produce the vast majority of power that run our country.

Bravo! Way too soon to implement EV’s!

I haven’t encountered any waits that long, but I have waited 20 minutes. Then the charge takes about 30 more. The problem is that people are abusing the free charging that comes with the cars and we don’t have the appropriate infrastructure yet. Most of these public chargers are beat to shit or not working period. It’s common that a stop with 6 chargers only has 3 working ones, and 2 of them have cars plugged in without an owner in sight
