You don’t. This is part of our zero carbon sustainability plan. In the long run it’s good for the environment, however we will need to roll with the changes. It will require more planning on our part (like remembering to plug it in every night), but AZ is footing the bill for plug in station at your home, expensing added electrical costs, etc. It won’t cost you anything to switch, but will save AZ and our environment a lot. Just think - when gas was up $2/gallon - with 6,000 co cars, costs went up $12k for just 1 extra gallon of gas per car. We take that for granted. AZ is committed to being a leader. Let’s do our part to support our employer and our environment. Plus….it will likely be 2023 before cars are delivered due to all the chip shortages. Let’s find the positive in the change - like we still have a company car than only the negative. None of us want to foot the entire bill for car payment (esp in 2022), gas, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation. Still a huge perk despite the type of car.
