Any info out there on time lines? I had a face to face recently and was curious if anyone has heard anything on their time lines for 2nd round face to face interviews. I think they are still doing first round now. Thanks!

Are you on the East Coast? I don't think they have interviewed out West have they? The last I heard, they are expecting drug to be approved around December time frame. They will interview West Coast people around September I was told?

I am not sure I believe this post, as I just received email last week that they are NOW setting up FIRST round interviews.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is someone fishing???

THE TERRITORIES FOR DYAX ARE JUST TOO LARGE. THEY ARE ONLY HIRING 8 REPS ON THE EAST AND 8 REPS ON THE WEST. IT PROBABLY IS A GOOD COMPANY, BUT IF YOU LOOK TO EXPERTS AND ADVICE ABOUT BIOTECH OPPORTUNITIES, THEY ALWAYS SAY TO AVOID RARE DISEASES WHERE THEIR WILL BE LITTLE USAGE AND WHO WANTS A MULTI WHOLE STATE TERRITORY? YOU WILL NEVER BE HOME - SO IF YOU LOVE STAYING IN HOTELS EVERY NIGHT THEN THIS JOB WOULD BE FOR YOU. AGAIN, I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS A BAD COMPANY - IN FACT, I THINK THEY PROBABLY ARE A GREAT COMPANY. IF YOU LOVE LARGE TERRITORIES AND TRAVEL - WELL THIS COULD BE THE JOB FOR YOU.

To those out there who have completed their first round interviews, what was your impression of Dyax's management team. With such a small company, the few people in leadership positions can make a tremendous impact on the success of the entire organization.

The east coast manager seems be nice fellow but lacks in business etiquitte, i.e use of diction very colloquial. I imagine he was promoted at previous company due to quota/ affirmative action. The physicins that new this fellow were not that impressed when they interacted with him. I think that he would be a hands off type of manager. I heard the west coast manager is very similar. anyone else that did phone and f2f see something different?

You are crazy. I will JUMP all over this company if I am offered. This is a once a lifetime chance.

You couldn't be more wrong. I thought he was very sharp. you should be ashamed for even putting that down in print. Also, you must feel very impressive using big words like colloquial. Just the fact that you are using words like that tells me you suck at selling. Go re-write the dictionary.

What is his name?

Honestly, why would anyone want such a huge territory? You will never be home and staying in hotels will be the norm. Experts agree that when you go with a biotech opportunity you need to make sure that it isn't a rare condition or at the very least, it has multiple indications. This could potentially be a very risky move.

which experts say that genius? because the people at genzyme, alexion, shire, etc would disagree and their bank accounts would as well.

Damn your dumb. Stick with your big pharma micromanaging and sucking all the profits from you. With small companies, there is the opportunity to cash in. There is no security even in big companies as the last few years have shown. All the big dogs had layoffs, restructuing, etc. There is no loyalty anymore. Bring on the big territory. I will take this job so fast if offered. You sound like you applied and didn't get a callback?

I received an email from the manager for a phone interview. I think, to posters making assumptive statements about this company and it's not to market specialized product, read t Dyax's Quarterly Earnings reports posted on their website. Those transcripts will tell you where the drug stands as of now and how they are in the progress of studying it for several other indications. Although HAE is not like diabetes per say, it does exist and it is hereditary and there is a need for an acute product. Read what the financial analysts say and stop asking people here what they think because many of the posters on here, don't know they are only repeating hearsay.
