There are a lot of companies hiring right now but I want the package first. Pray for good timing.
It’s fine to wait for the package but be careful for what you wish for. Many of these upstart biotechs are paying well but their success/viability is far from certain, you can’t bank on it panning out like Genentech has over the past 25 years. Do your homework and think about it, I believe the list of what may be truly viable companies is much shorter than “what’s available”.There are a lot of companies hiring right now but I want the package first. Well thank you counselor! Dont you think it depends on where you are in your career and what risks your willing to take personally? Appreciate you looking out for us!
And you are welcome.Yes I do, should have included this as part of the discussion. All I’m sayin is the grass isn’t always greener and some of these seemingly attractive companies will be dust in 3-5 years, DNA will still be viable.
So true....you’re entitlement days are over. Betting the panic from many who post that this change is SLT BS can’t get past the phone screen with other companies. From the outside looking in, it appears that the Genie ship has officially sunk. Hope y’all made it out. Guess this means no more Club DNA /candy bars/ concerts/fancy European company cars. You’ll be fine. The sun will shine tomorrow.
Might be time to move the whole DNA thread over to the "lost civilizations" thread. I know this board is full of hatred and trolls........but it was a great ride while it lasted. Just pulled myself out of interviews. 20 years and a lot of great things.......but I guess that I'll spare myself the humiliation of being told I'm not of the right mindset to bring this company to the next level of customer engagement. Be good to everyone! I was hoping that these changes would be inspiring and game changing. Maybe I'm just to dumb to understand that no one has given a real answer about vision other than enough about my vision....it will be different tomorrow.
Best of luck!
The people let go in the pioneer ecosystem debacle built this company over decades. The supreme joke of this slaughter is the guise that it was being done in the name of better customer service and engagement. The customers are sickened by the loss of their long time Genentech partners. This new place smells vile. The odor is at the company is choking everyone and it is sad to see people taking deep breaths claiming they think it smells good just so they can try to stay. The company is ruined. It is that simple. The best people are either gone, chose not to interview or were rejected for not having the right mindset. If you end up there it will be a twilight zone and you will wish you had taken the package.Might be time to move the whole DNA thread over to the "lost civilizations" thread.
