Disappointed in VBU Changes

It is absolutely disgusting how they did this. I hope everyone voices their opinion about it on the national call. I know people that have tiered several years in a row and they lost their job today. We were all completely lied to. No budget, vehicle trackers, job cuts, larger territories. It just keeps getting better. Many of the reps that kept their role will now have to drive over an hour just to get into their territory.
 






Transformations and being customer centric is vital keeping and growing business—no matter what company or industry. Here is where the VBU went wrong:
New regime is clueless. Truck not involved and not visible. Joaquin inept
Trusted IQVIA to develop ecosystems. Most way too small with poor access.
VBU leadership not transparent or competent. The process should have started with VP roles and move downward. Too many people displaced because you failed to sync the transformation process.
FLLs can’t ask question without be chastised but are asked to lead through by this.
Shingrix is behind goal, Bex trending down. Beating the FLLs on calls per day is not the answer. Arexvy success was based on favorable retail contracts (certainly not because of the AIR division).
Major problems ahead for the VBU because of these terrible decisions and changes.
 






Inept to describe Joaquin and Truck is an UNDERSTATEMENT! If they needed to show profitability, they could have cut out that LAVISH wasteful meeting where they fed us a bunch of bullshit and ran up exorbitant tabs at the bar! There are some fucking clueless idiots running this company!

Can you explain to why WE WERE LIED TO?

Can you explain why you flew us all out to Atlanta, spent millions of dollars on the meeting, motivated us, inspired us, and then pulled out the rug from underneath us?

Can you explain why people have had so many questions during the process that were never answered?

Can you explain why you haven’t been transparent like you said you wanted to be and instead were outright deceptive?

Can you explain why placements were made by a computer algorithm created by a consulting firm, not even by our own people?

Can you explain why managers and lower level leadership did not even have a say and were purposefully left out of the process?

Can you explain why people with 20, 30, etc. years of service to GSK were let go while employees who were just hired were kept?

Can you explain why you didn’t enact a hiring freeze to prevent this?

Can you explain why you displaced people and then are giving them the opportunity to apply for open positions? Shouldn’t you have just placed them in the open positions?

Can you explain why employees should ever trust you again? Because rest assured, WE WILL NEVER TRUST YOU AGAIN!

I don’t ever want them to say we are the most trusted partner in vaccines. I trust Joaquin about as far as I could throw him. I hope sales tank! And WARN notices go out. Ridiculous that they displaced people and the. Have openings being posted tomorrow. What a waste.
 












I’ve been with the VBU a long time. I’ve never seen anything like this. It hasn’t been the same since Al Thompson left. They started hiring because of race/gender instead of who is most qualified and now we are paying for it. We have a bunch of pharma idiots taking over and now it’s going in the tank. They ran off a lot of really good reps. No, they will NEVER be trusted again. Talk about demoralizing.
 






I was in a “CLT” meeting a few years ago when Truck first joined GSK. Guy has no clue what he’s doing. 4 years ago we got rid of 75 VBU reps through attrition. These days we aren’t even smart enough to execute that
 






Yes, all they had to do was not backfill. Maybe don’t have training classes months before and bring on new people. Maybe don’t talk about all the opportunity coming our way and how there would be so many promotions to higher grades. What a load of crap.

They had a training class AT THE SAMETIME they announced the TRANSFORMATION. Well now we know that TRANSFORMATION means layoffs

They’ll be kept around for a few more years until GSK comes to a revelation that it’s Vaccine pipeline has no blockbuster value, blenrep is dog shit, Trelegy and Nucala pricing pressures erode all margin. Then there will be another layoff.
