Did we learn anything today?

Your hatred for the company and all its employees is obvious (all employees are idiots, except for you apparently). Such vitriole can't be healthy or fun for you or for your family. Glad you can vent here, because you're a very unhappy person.

Not at all! I just said we don't have any scientists at Onyx. How am I wrong?

Seriously, the acquisition hasn't even begun yet and we're already sounding like Amgen employees! My experience with PR, ME, and several R&D scientists disparaged in this thread has obviously been much better than yours. All are fine contributors, especially the R&D scientists which have discovered a drug and brought it to market at an unusually fast pace, driving the value of Onyx to where it now sits.

Newsflash! Onyx bought Kyprolis from the company that had the R and D scientists that discovered it. Onyx doesn't have R and D, they got rid of it years ago and went with a business model that involves buying their pipeline. Bought a drug to beef up the stock and sell the company. You must be a rookie.

Yes, perhaps he's a rookie, but also someone that actually knows what's happening at the company. By my count we have something like 40 scientists in Tech Ops, 30 in Research, and 25 in Clinical Science. So, very roughly > 10% of Onyx. If you count all of R&D, including Clin Ops, Reg, etc. then you are up to something like 350. So, no R&D? Just have a look at the org chart. Apparently you are also unaware that there are still quite a few good Proteolix scientists kicking around, including our head of Research, who along with other R&D leaders was key to the ODAC approval that sent or shares skyrocketing in the first place.

These forums become useless to all if you spout off nonsense as truth. I'm sure you have something to contribute, just stick to what you actually know.

Grow up! Are you in third grade? If you want to play at that level let's ask Juergan if he is a "real scientist?" Go ahead, I double dare you!

Oh does Juergan spend a lot of time in our wet lab on the first floor in 500 or is that as empty and unused as the day we moved in? Of our 3 products which ones did Juergan help discover and develop?

LOL. You're so ignorant you're almost cute! What do you think Juergen Lasowski's role is at Onyx? Stand around doing experiments? Lasowski is head of Corporate Development and Strategy. He does have a PhD in chemistry, and has an MBA, which is the key to what he does as head of that group. His job is to execute on the strategy set by the Board. He doesn't evaluate new opportunities himself, or make the decision of what we bring in. Board sets the strategy, corporate development members do the scouting and evaluation with the help of internal and external experts (duh, REAL EXPERTS), and the business team (MBAs, not scientists) structure the deal. As all the executives, his role is to bring it all together and bring in he right people to get it done.

Show me a company with a "real scientist" as a head of corporate development and I'll show you a company that doesn't do any deals.

Dumbass...he started as a scientist, that's is why he heads corporate development. God help us all if you are leader at Onyx. So now, I triple dog dare you...ask Tony and Juergan had real scientists. Hopefully they will show your ass the door. Obviously, you do not have any advanced degrees or training, just a business analyzer...

Well the only thing I learned from reading this thread is that we have two little twits working for the company that like to see themselves type.
