Did we learn anything today?

Try $ dummy. You are such fools with no business sense. I know you hire state skool people with pe duhgrees but please! Onyx? What a joke. All will be fired and left with enough to buy a used ford taurus. We all enjoy your stock analysis payout on this site, third grade math at its best. After terms and dilution don't forget to subtract 42%.

Guess you never been through this before...my guess is you are a short shill who got burned. First there will be no dilution...so thanks again for your stupidity. Second everyone knows that they have to pay taxes so everyone is cutting in half what is in their etrade account...again thanks for unveiling your inner moron for us. It was amusing.

LOL. I know, right? "After terms and dilution." Somebody learned new words at an online finance and M&A course, but didn't learn what they mean.

Congrats to the person getting $1,4M. I'm down at the bottom of the totem pole and will reap only getting about $600k out of a deal (based on $140 deal), but I'm OK with that!

Well, I guess we have certainly been told off. Please tell us Mr. IV Leeg degrre, why are you trolling on this site? Shouldn't you be closing big deals on Wall Street or curing incurable diseases? While us PE duhgree majurs sure do preciate you smart fellers comin on an teachin us a thang or 2 but plees, go bak to makin shur our guvment is workin rite an that u an ur privat skool frat brothers r keepin us dummys from makin mistakes.

Hysterical! Remember, degrees do not designate intelligence. Ed Snowden is very smart and a high school dropout, he may lack common sense but not courage. Let me say, I understand the anxiety and disruption in work, but no one posting including myself is in the "NO" re: this buyout. It is all speculators, dreamers and dooms-dayers posting. No need to get mad, just laugh at all the know-it-alls.

And now the Event Based Blackout on trading by employees. Something in the next couple of weeks, I'd think!

Darn - I see the Event Based Blackout is due to the interim FOCUS trial results coming out soon. Boy I hope the results are good, or we can kiss a high money deal goodbye. Amgen was willing to roll the dice and buy before FOCUS read out. I can't imagine anyone putting in an offer now until the trial results come out. (FOCUS is the Kyprolis EU registrational trial).

Are I that f'ing stupid? A company can choose to release or not release data at their leusure! Of course it's positive. If it wasn't they wouldn't have released it! If it was trending negative they would have jumped at $120. Seriously you have got to be the dumbest SOB in this industry!

No I'm not that "f'ing stupid". Have you heard of a double blind study? We don't know what it is definitively, nor does anyone else. Being a sales rep, you probably haven't learned much about how clinical trials are run while you're driving around in your car. The bidders won't give final bids until the trial results are released. My bet is the results are not great because of the OS endpoint. The trial was originally designed with a PFS endpoint. Onyx knew that wouldn't be enough to satisfy EMA requirements, so they expanded the trial to 300 or so people, and made the endpoint OS. That's GREAT, but you don't get enough data in a few months to say whether the OS data is positive (err, because hopefully people are still ALIVE because of the drug. S). I hope we'll eventually get enough positive OS data, but from the interim results? No way to know. All we can hope for is some positive PFS news, which isn't enough to satisfy the EMA, so no EU registration.

It is ironic that you are accusing some one else of being stupid. Clearly the accused has a better grasp on how this works than you do.

And, seriously, you don't even know that they have NOT released it yet? And do you, seriously, not know that the company announced to the street that they would release it in 2H2013? Do you, seriously, not know that that means that it will be released whether it's positive or not. Seriously, you have to be the dumbest SOB in Onyx.

But you are good for a laugh anyway. Perhaps you can hone your comedic skills as you're probably going to need a new job soon. LOL.

And, seriously, this was my last job anyway, and even at $120 and no accelerated options, I'll walk away with enough to retire.

Seriously, take that, and seriously, shove it up your pharma code.

I seriously doubt that you can seriously retire unless your seriously live in a trailer and seriously drive a yugo. Do you seriously thing that we are that seriously stupid?

Take a deep breath... Better now? If you choose to believe I won't be able to retire well, that really doesn't bother me... whatever helps you sleep at night.

WTF are you talking about? What do you think there is a sealed envelope that Price Waterhouse Cooper is holding until the data is released? No crap it is double blind to the investigators but for the interim analysis the company will know what group is which…how else would we report an interim analysis??? What, are they going to release the following statement, “ we have an interim analysis but as you know it is double blind so we don’t know which group is which but one group is doing better than the other so we assume it is the treatment arm”!!!We got blacked out so clearly people know what the interim results are and yes a company is under zero obligation to release said results at any given time, even if specified by an IRB… TC could have easily delayed the release until after the Q2 earnings call so my guess is the results are trending well and this will be more leverage against the bidding companies. Let me guess you are a scientist who knows nothing about how this business actually gets done…

You seem to be confused as well. What makes you think the blackout implies an imminent announcement? The blackout is indefinite. While I agree that some people at Onyx likely know results by now, I'm not sure it necessarily follows that an announcement is coming today, tomorrow, or this week. Maybe you should review your logic with a scientist before you post next time. You may be right and I hope you are, but your argument is little more than wishful thinking at this point and not really grounds for tearing apart another poster.

Well I guess they would have to go outside of Onyx to find a real scientist...last time I checked we don't have any...

Your hatred for the company and all its employees is obvious (all employees are idiots, except for you apparently). Such vitriole can't be healthy or fun for you or for your family. Glad you can vent here, because you're a very unhappy person.

Seriously, the acquisition hasn't even begun yet and we're already sounding like Amgen employees! My experience with PR, ME, and several R&D scientists disparaged in this thread has obviously been much better than yours. All are fine contributors, especially the R&D scientists which have discovered a drug and brought it to market at an unusually fast pace, driving the value of Onyx to where it now sits.
