yes this company will use a GPS tracker app for mileage. The message it sends to the sales force is “we don’t trust you and are going to monitor you every day”
Top performer will have nothing to worry about, but if you are unfortunately not getting your numbers and your manager doesn’t like you . This App makes it very easy for them to fire you . Your call would have to be entered at exactly the same time your GPS tracker says you’re at an office. For those of us that preload our calls it would mean changing the time to the minute to exactly match up to the GPS tracker.
Really just a juvenile waste of time and speaks a lot about this company.
I have a friend that has to use this now and it is a huge time sucker to manage.
It also is a major invasion of privacy for example if you don’t spend the night at home -maybe sleep at a friends house -the App will know where you start every morning -so if you get into a fight with your spouse or if you have a one night stand the entire company will know where you start your morning or end your day
Before you take this job - ask yourself “is my privacy worth giving up?’
