Dermatology Expansion

Bad: topicals are hard to price to make money/generic world, no derm heritage, low salaries, hard to launch anything with Covid restrictions

Good: good takeover candidate so get your equity up there, small company that hasn't been infected with Amgen, Novartis, Abbie types yet - so the first couple years you will be invented to sell/earn. After that, look for big Pharma bone heads to infiltrate and implement selling models, coaching guides, all the BS that kills culture but grows activity
Nonsense. Amgen folks already at Incyte. Grow up.

whey Are people leaving Amgen/celgene for Incyte? Honestly don’t know, so I’m curious

Celgene folks acquired by Amgen are looking to get out of a check the box salesforce with awful IC, and back into a pay for performance company. Incyte is claiming to be building a promising IC plan for derm and are targeting Celgene derm managers and reps

What about our non-competes? I’d really like to apply but won’t it be an issue?

The only people leaving Amgen are the Celgene people. They came up in a performance culture that paid very well and aren't able to take the Amgen activity culture with low pay. Amgen has a RSD who regularly abuses people. She claims that if you really have such good relationships, you would leverage them to do Veeva Engages just so she can tell JW that she is holding her team accountable during this time at home. Goes a long way towards how they are rewarded over there. Activity>sales performance.

Bet you $20 Ron comes out at the first sales meeting and yells SURPRISE!

If Ron was there, 100% of the managers and 90% of the Amgen Dermatology reps would bolt, even if our salaries were cut by $20k.

That dude just understood how to create a culture that made reps feel like they belonged and that they were valued and I just went to work early every day and stayed out there late because of the culture he created.
