definitely consult with a lawyer...it is money well spent. I do not believe the above statement. They are enforceable to a certain extent and also depending on which territory you cover and what you sell. I think NY frowns upon non competes that don't have geographical boundaries.
 






If you worked for genz you had a non-compete. When we got bought, LCA bought you and your non-compete. Whether or not you signed the new Labcorp non compete, the genz one is still enforceable by labcorp. At least that is how it was explained to me.

Not true. It depends on the state and if Labcorp wants to spend the money and the time on you. They may send you a "reminder notice" but thats about as far as they typically go. The regional management team would have to 1. Know where you are. 2. Decide to take the time to go after you. 4. Engage the Labcorp attorneys and HR. its a process in paperwork.
