SO you want to hire a lawyer, pay $$ legal fees, while things are being documented? Then have the lawyer make a phone call, which will result in what? Doesn't sound smart to me.
If a person feels wronged - it's his/her right to be heard. And if people want to join a lawsuit - - - - whatever! The amount of time being spent on this issue is amazing....
Who, except for orig plaintiff and lawfirm, really makes money on these? Can a lawsuit with 2000+ angry employees be taken seriously? Really? Ugh
sure, as an employee you have some rights. but there is no specific "right to be heard". you are simply a factor of production, an expense. you are not an asset to the company. that is just feel-good rhetorical platitude. (hnt: find "employees" or people, or human resources, or sales reps, etc on a balance sheet. you wont find it).
if you think you are being wronged by an employer, then cripes, for heaven's sake, of course you should be documenting it.
you don't sue a current employer unless you really dont need the job and payycheck. it's called CLM: career limiting move.
If people ARE being wronged, AND it if is illegal, then for sure there will be remedies (that's a legal term, look it up). A court will decide on the merit of a lawsuit.
while you say "have a right to be heard", you also have a right to seek legal counsel (oh, maybe a labor attorney perhaps) who will know a LOT more about what your "rights" are on the job than you do.
"right to be heard". ? Where is the Pfizer complaint box or the grievance committee ? Nope, sorry, you dont have that right. You may thnk you do. I dare ya: try airing out yoru grievances with HR. See how fast you'll be out the door.
