When layoff's happen; Across ALL franchises (no division is safe) $hit rolls downhill & everyone in the field is down at the bottom of the hill, regardless of your title if you are field based... Cuts will be made Across the board. When 40 million people are out of work, 40+ million people don't have health insurance, people stop taking meds, find other ways of getting medicine, many have no choice & have to turn to 'holistic treatments' & that's IF they even have money to pay for that; due to 2000+ applicants for every job posting...(like amazon jobs, not 6 figure "sales" jobs like pharma...)
Anybody with any decent I.T. skills, may have a fighting chance to re-skill & get into a different industry without taking a massive decrease in pay. If you don't work in a HQ position... BEND OVER!

there won’t be a lay-off. If they want to cut reps, they’ll have to cut managers which would necessitate moving higher than just ABL’s. No way would people higher up the ladder want to cut lowly sales reps—they could end up losing their own jobs. It’s a dirty business!

We have 328 million people...74% over the age of 18. So even if 40 million are out of work- plenty still working and taking medicines that they need. Is holistic health free? More expensive than your copay for sure. Also do you think 40 million are going to stay out of work forever? The media has caused this frenzy over politics not facts- but once the states "open back up" you don't think businesses will eventually go back to normal? You don't think bars will open again? You don't think my landscaper is going to still cut my grass? You don't think restaurants will reopen? You don't think hospitals will put the 55% of healthcare workers that are furloughed back to work?

I see layoffs happening if you have too many reps- like in cardio- for the revenue that the drug brings in. 2008 had mass layoffs in our industry but also multiple huge products loss patents while we had a record number of reps.
