Coronavirus Layoffs













I’m on the actelion side. Horrible access for years. I’ve received substantial bonuses without even seeing or meeting my targets. Luck I guess. Layoffs are inevitable. No access here in the Midwest.
 






























I am a Syneos rep on this immunology contract. If you think layoffs are coming to Janssen, how do you think we feel? We probably have more guilt than you do for logging in some sort of inflated call activity, but our manager encourages us to hit a certain metric as we have nothing to lose at this point. We are telemarketers calling offices until the offices literally tell us not to call anymore. This has already started occurring. We all want to work, but there is not much to do. I don't think there is enough work for one rep per territory, and with two we are becoming a burden to the office.

Any word on your side what they plan to do with this contract?

Stop your bitching and complaining. My NE manager wife is now home all day with me and I have to pretend I was always looking at Red Sox and Patriots stuff instead of surfing porn. Dreaming of a hot chick instead of my every expanding overbearing wife.
I need this stuff to be over so I can get back to surfing porn. Please JBI come up with a vaccine!

The plan is to retain janssen employees by downsizing the temporary contract sales force. This is why we hired contract reps instead of JnJ employees. It allows flexibility with no exposure. Many positions will be eliminated or significantly restructured outside of JBI and your contract job may be backfilled with a JnJ employee from another division.

What about Syneos Ponesimod contract? The contract reps will be the only ones selling it so does that make it more secure. Just started on contract but considering my options.
 












My thoughts are not about which (insert your lame franchise name here) sales team will keep their jobs, but rather, which sales teams SHOULD keep their jobs. So sad that Janssen keeps all jobs rather than retaining only those who should stay based on performance. We do not have any input as to who goes where...and this is no longer a meritocracy. Your performance is no longer a factor and it does not matter. "Other" things are more important now.
