Company Culture

Hired talent? My hospital rep said he had all these great relationships and was number 1 at his company. Clearly we did no do a background check because this moron doesn't know any of the key accounts and said its because he hasn't called on hospitals.

Yep..... same with my hospital rep. She knows no one but apparently claimed she did during the interview process. Her mental status was actually questioned by a top customer at our number one hospital account (& huge hosp system) and was asked not to call on the hospital!! Now she's literally isolated herself from every teammate she has accept for one which is literally just tolerating her at this point. Not only does she have no relationships in Cardio or in the hospitals like she said, she actually has a terrible reputation among other pharma reps & can't work with anyone. Maybe she delivered a good "detail" during the interview process but that's not how you sell to hospitals. I've never seen a worse rep. The Sanofi hospital rep is actually pretty good but they've got 2 other products to focus on and another one launching soon so their time is spread thin.

Guess what? People like YOU are a huge part of the problem! Your whole post should give everyone a reason not to work here. Whether or not this "hospital rep" is good or not isn't even the point. Who the hell would ever want to work in "pods" at a senior sales level? Your sentences make me sick to my stomach as you sound like you have a HUGE stick up your ass. Do your own work and don't worry about the other person. This is so pathetically "primary care" and your WHINING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE sounds so completely juvenile. No senior level rep with several years of experience would ever want to work in this toxic environment and be forced to work and co-promote with other reps. There should be one rep in a single territory period. So pathetic.

Waaaaaaaaaaa oh poor me waaaaaaaaaa. What are you going to do? Tell on him??? Do your own F*cking job and worry about yourself. You sound so high school and your own work should speak for itself. Scary.

Sounds like somebody hit a nerve! Ha!! Welcome to the "pod" life where everyone is expected to pull their weight and you'll be called out if you don't. It is what it is. You accepted it so suck it up you "Senior" sales professional you...... OR bug out. Sometimes the truth hurts.

No, it's just so pathetic how people like yourself complain and whine about other people. If someone isn't working, they will be found out eventually and don't need your help you little crybaby. It's just so juvenile and embarrassing. You really sound quite ridiculous and I recommend that you find a hobby.

I have to agree with the other poster as well. That's not what was stated at all and it wasn't hitting a nerve. Everyone needs to work, but this job certainly doesn't need multiple reps. If anything, the territories should be cut smaller and a single rep should be responsible. This set-up is ridiculous. And yes, little complainers like yourself are so completely childish beyond words. Just worry about your own work ethic.

Yes. Co-promotion is so primary care. This is a dated model that has never worked. Physicians can't stand when more than one representative is calling on them and representing a specific product. They want a single point of contact. A lot of you do sound like babies on here.

Unfortunately you decided to take this job regardless of knowing you'd be working in a pod. Crying about it now is a waste of time. I definitely agree there should only be one or two people representing this product per territory but when I accepted this job I knew that wouldn't be the case. Those of you that keep repeating that working in pods is ridiculous shouldn't have accepted the job to begin with. That was spelled out in the interviews. What did you expect? Trust me.... I don't like it anymore than you do but it's just the way it is. Luckily most of us in my territory get along but admittedly there is one (there always is) that's more than challenging to work with & that person is at odds with everyone.

Trust me some of the hospital reps don't like some other hospital reps! Mr. Negative is a joke, go back to your previous company because that is all you talk about is the glory days.

This just isn't true. Maybe you were one of the lucky ones, but there was no time in my interview where I was told I would be in a pod. NEVER. I literally was told I would own my territory. If you knew this ahead of time, then you are a complete fool.

Did you just admit you interviewed and never asked about the territory or sales force layout? Wow!
Every single person was asked about team work and knew about the overlap. So you just proved you were only concerned about your salary and a big mistake by the manager who hired you.

Oh get over yourself. It simply isn't true. When I interviewed I was told each would have different accountabilities and call points and this has been confirmed by many of my coworkers. The job was promoted completely differently and ended up being something else. The majority of people that I talk to and trust feel exactly the same way. The company mislead the job description. Who cares at this point as everyone hates this job.

Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split ya! You're a negative curse, the fact that you openly talk negatively on conference calls is proof you will never be happy! You could win the lottery and would say "shit now I have to count all this money!"
Go back to #1 in your own mind, we all know the truth.

Walk around with their chests puffed out tHinking they are better then everyone else. Mosty dudes and they have zero accountability.

Do you mean the hospital reps with multiple years of CV experience and navigating hospital systems successfully? We get things done while attenuating the pervasive levels of ineptitude that many of our customers have sniffed out about our field based overlaps that are more worried about taking credit or "teaming up" to bring in 4 reps on a call. It's a fucking embarrassment on many levels. What a joke.
