Company Culture

Been here 4 years now. I will say the culture took some getting used to, but I like it now. My experience has been that leadership listens, tries new things within reason and explains when they don't accept suggestions.

To the response from #20…..YES!! As a matter of fact, I like feeling like I am in a small company. When we broke out from Sanofi, and had only Regeneron folks at that portion of the meeting, it was like a breath of fresh air!! Small is Good. Have you looked at the stock in the past two weeks?? This company will have to protect itself to not turn into big Pharma. So many products coming down the line. Two over next three years! That's fantastic. Were you at the celebration on Thursday night? If so, then you will realize that big Pharma can provide us money to do the things that we want to do. As long as our management keeps a relatively hands off approach, and allows us to sell in a manner that we want, continues with the scientific research, and bring the drugs to market, I will stay here. Much like other Biotechs, half life is short if Regeneron becomes big Pharma.

well said from the last poster! My only concern is that we have a lot of big pharma people just waiting to push their agenda. They were hired from allergan and other companies that were metrics driven with crazy management. just review the tons of comments from people who worked in reimbursement and came over from allergan. the guy who ran the show over there for reimbursement was fired and we hired him? I like it now but I have my eyes open.

you know if she didn't want it in her ass, I wish she would have told me clearly. She sure acted like that's what she wanted and now we got all this drama over a little misunderstanding. I mean seriously, at what point in the process did she change her mind!

Stock closed today over $561 per share. We are making good money, we DO have a great culture, and most of the bitching on this site comes from people who were mot hired. Me, I'm just living the dream.

Does your dream include working for a CEO who has nothing but contempt for Sales, who says you are nothing but overpaid order takers, who says we are at our most productive when we are off the road, and uses any excuse not to attend POA meetings and thinks we need daily micro management by the compliance police?

To the last poster--you obviously don't work at Regeneron. This is such a refreshing view that we can truly be science based and not sales focused. Yes we need to sell. Thats after all what the MS folks were hired to do. The FAS do have to work on the pull through. That's what they were hired to do. The Hospital Reps, do in fact need to get protocols at the hospitals. However, isn't it nice for a change to NOT be told how many speaker programs, how many teleconferences etc to do? My only problem is that my Sanofi rep wants to do EVERY SINGLE program in the book, so they can get credit within their organization. They just don't get the fact that you don't need to do every program in order to be successful. In fact, being strategic is more effective!

You obviously don't work for Regeneron. Your bitterness over not getting hired shows through your post. Our CEO has created a work environment that values everyone, including sales. Most of us have met with him. Can you say that about your CEO? As for compliance, get over it. Our industry is one of the most regulated in the world. Every company has a compliance department monitoring what is going on in the field. Guess what, Regeneron doesn't have to live under a CIA. I am very thankful for that fact.

Don't want to identify too much but been here between 2-24 months. Culture takes some adjustment period. The problem is that senior leadership disdains the sales force but knows they need them.

Best culture I was ever a part of was Celgene. They really pay for performance and don't bother with all the activity metrics.

Equity great with both companies and I am making about the same total package. I left because their is just more upward mobility here plain and simple.

for those of us that have sold an expensive biologic or device understand most of this is pretty normal. Managed care is tough in the beginning. Sanofi doesn't get that at all. The process takes a little longer to get going. Regeneron gets it but some of the big pharma managers don't. In the long run this company is going to do great. Everyone just needs to chill.

Of course there will be. The payouts for the amount of work are quite honestly embarrassingly low. This was a fraud from the get go chock full of empty promises.

Based on the amount of sales people and the fact that two companies were going to be selling this drug solidified that the bonuses were going to be complete crap. Taking this job was the worst move of my entire career.

to the last poster: GOOD. Please tell me where you are located so I can try to get a friend hired there. I love the $3500 referral bonus, not being told hold to sell, not have ANOTHER selling model shoved down my throat, and just being allowed to go out and find the business. Now, as it turns out, I am sitting at the top, but wont get paid shit for bonus. I do object to how hard that I am working and wont make bonus! The criteria just even to get to off of step one and get to second step of bonus plan is bogus, taking months to get there. No way to get to as many pens as we need to make quota. I will have never worked so hard to make a shit bonus. The top Eylea people made $100,000 in bonus where they did great in their launch year. Will not come anywhere close with the CV launch. A TINY fraction. That is the only part that I miss, is being able to make bonus. PERHAPS MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO LOOK AT TAKING THE QUOTA AND REDUCING IT SO IT IS ACHIEVABLE???

Management , please read this last post and take some action. This is real and needs to be addressed. Many reps were made to believe they were going to be able to earn a real bonus. We want to make this successful but this bonus plan is very pathetic.

You simply won't make big bonus dollars here. Due to the Sanofi relationship the bonuses will be on par with big pharma bonus plans because Sanofi is driving the Praluent launch and owns the NDC. The comp plan isn't even based on patients actually getting the drug. The Hospital team doesn't actually call on Hospitals because Sanofi Hospital reps control the hospitals. The patient Hub is a black hole and patients who could be on the drug end up never getting product or getting Repatha instead. Let's see what Sanofi does with the payers. The company hired very strong talent but the talent is growing frustrated and apathetic.

Your post reads nothing less than moronic. In one breathe you praise the company and then negate everything with the "shit" bonus comments. Only someone like yourself would want to stay knowing that current and future potential bonus is and will always be crap.
The fact is that this shitty company lied to all the candidates in the interviews and led everyone to believe the bonuses would be high and in reality they are the opposite. People are already quitting because there is no future here in terms of making really good money. i agree with the other poster that this place is a toxic environment. I don't care if they gave out 5k bonuses for referrals as I can't think of anyone that I despise to trick them to come onboard here. All of my coworkers are looking for new jobs. We all feel we were mislead.
