Alabama-LSU isn't a matchup of featherweights. It's Ali-Frazier, Tyson-Holyfield. It's heavyweights going right at one another, and it's arguably the best collection of maulers college football has to offer, with as many as 10 future NFL linemen between the two schools.

Ok it's November and the SEC occupies 6 of the top 10 spots in the BCS. Where are all SEC haters who said in Aug/Sept that it was a 1 team league? Simply put SEC is stacked. 6 of 10 in rankings. The SEC is college football.

If America wants a decent national title game, better hope USC beats ND this weekend. SEC champ will beat ND silly in title game. LMAO
 












me thinks lsu very very overrated. wow. even big 10 teams beat arkansas in bowl games. wow. me also sees only 2 undefeated teams in nation. both in midwest. guess that is where the best fb is played. can't deny undefeated.

6 SEC teams in BCS top 10. Pick your poison. BTW I remember when a overrated 2 loss LSU beat the hell out of another One of your piss poor undefeated Ohio teams to win the national title a few years ago.
 






Hey Linus how many top 10 teams did ohio play this year? Are u really celebrating a win vs lowly meeechican? Lsu played 4 top 10 teams going 2-2. Remember what Bama did to meeechican earlier this season? Ohio is a 3-4 loss team in the Sec. On par with a Miss St or Ole Miss.

You are too kind. ohio is a 6 loss team in the SEC. Take away their cream puff ooc games and you have a 4-8 season if ohio were in the SEC. ohio reminds me a lot of the ACC teams that faced the SEC this weekend - rack up cream puff wins and then when they faced SEC teams - all four ACC teams got killed when they met SEC dominance.

For the seventh straight season, the SEC is headed to the national championship.

The conference has six teams ranked in the top 10 of the BCS standings, including three -- Alabama, Georgia and Florida -- in the top four.

Six teams have two or fewer losses on the season, while two more have eight wins.

Six teams rank in the top 25 in defense, and three rank in the top 25 in offense.

Nine of the SEC’s 14 teams are bowl eligible and if not for some dubious play calling on the side of USC in its game with Notre Dame over the weekend, the country would almost have been assured to see yet another all-SEC national championship.

The SEC also has a nation-best six teams ranked in the AP, USA Today and Harris Interactive Polls. The SEC has now had at least five teams ranked in at least one AP Top 25 poll every year since expansion in 1992. Just as in 2011, the conference has had at least five teams ranked in every AP poll throughout the season.

Compared to other BCS conferences, the SEC is tied with the Big 12 with the most bowl eligible teams. With only 10 teams, all but one Big 12 team -- Kansas -- is bowl eligible. The little ten has 7.

The SEC’s resume shows that in a year in which some people called it overrated, the conference still has all the clout it entered the year with and will leave the 2012 season with the label as the nation’s top football conference yet again.

More than half of the SEC is postseason bound and if Ole Miss wins its bowl, the league will have nine teams with a winning record when the 2012 season officially comes to a close.

And you can look at the teams’ strength of schedule, but the SEC actually has some of the tougher schedules out there. Nine SEC teams are ranked within the top 25 when it comes to strength of schedule, including six in the top 10. Florida and Missouri are No. 1 and 2, respectively.

Of the six teams ranked in the top 10 of the BCS standings, four are ranked in the top 25 of schedule difficulty.

oHio ONLY played 2 ranked teams on their entire 12 game schedule (none of which were ranked in the top 10). oHio has a strength of schedule rank of #51.

The little 1o has fallen hard. Computers rank them as the #4 conference. Little 1o ONLY has one team that even has a strength of schedule ranked in the top 30 and that is Mich St at #29.

Linus is a desperate fool with his pathetic conference and team.
