College Football: Will the SEC "6 Peat"

in march KY was your favorite team.
now in football, well you won't say until it is over. you pick the winner. how sad. if lsu were ranked #1 you would be singing their praises. nah you wouldnt. you wait until the final champ. game is over. then that team is your favorite. how pathetic. i have been attending osu games since 1968 and never met a fan who roots for michigan. we dont root for conferences. in fact NOBODY on earth does unless they got booted from a school. you make it too easy to read you son.
do you think we turn on our TV's up here and start cheering for Purdue and Northwestern? much less Meatchicken! we want them all to lose so we have the best record in the conference. who do you root for when ala plays auburn? oh. wait got it.............THIS year ala. if auburn is better, then auburn. told an auburn fan in a bar about you and he thought i was lying!!! i told him the truth. you dont care WHO wins in the sec just so it is an sec team. if lsu beats bama then you say you wanted lsu. if TN beats GA, you wanted TN! you are sooooooooooo sad. we root for ONE team our alma mater. my whole family, mom, dad, all siblings grad from OSU and even loved the games last yr at 6-7. when we got Urban this town and my family went nuts. nuts. he will go down as better than woody. this guy is nuts. he is nuts in a great way. i bet brady hoke skipped dinner when it was announced we got meyer. he knew right then he was done. over. urban is still playing with tressels lousy players and will still probably beat hoke!!! WITH limited recruits due to tressel being a liar and causing sanctions.
 






osu was BETTER than LSU LAST year with a 6-7 record! they scored 17 pts on FL in gator bowl and lsu put up 6??!!! LOL. basically same players although our QB was 17 yrs old!! LOL. 6 points. 6.
 






Awe, what's wrong Linus? Are those black denim Jorts too tight? SEC has three teams in the top 4 and it's mid-October. 7 of the top 25 teams are from the SEC in mid-October. The SEC is well on their way to a Sevenpeat. No one is worried about facing a little ten team in the National Championship team that's for sure. Now go work on that wedgie.

Braxton is a shoe-in to get to NYC. #2 now behind Geno, and he is having a horrible game. Can you imagine 3 Hieseys in a row!?? Nah. Good enough for a true soph barring injury to finish 2 or 3 in the Heisman. Then he wins 2 in a row jr and sr yrs. WVU getting stomped and ND is down to the Cardinal. 2 more spots in the AP. 8 to 6. One for sure cause WVU has no chance. wow. 6-7, new coach, hardly any recruits, may run it all! DEFINITELY top 3 in final AP poll! Unreal! I predicted 8-4. No way on that. 1 loss at most. amazing turnaround. This town is going crazy! Gotta get down to the sports bar! Will be a blast night game smashing of IU!
Oh, only had #40 recruits at the Nebraska night game smashing. Great weather, atmosphere, 40, yes 40 top 4 & 5 stars there and in the locker room! Love that un. tx tech 41 wvu 7. 3rd qtr! movin on up! week by week. up a spot or 2. can hardly type i am so fired up to smash IU. my ex is an IU alumn and she will be getting her usual call tonight!!!
 






Braxton Sucks. One of his touchdowns the ref intentionally acted as a pick when the play should have been called dead 40 yards before the TD. This is like saying a MAC player should get the Heisman because his stats are overinflated due to inferior players. ohio football equals MAC football equals Braxton football. ohio was barely a touchdown ahead (and was actually behind for a good portion) by a touchdown the entire game and played embarrassingly poor football. You should be embarrassed by your post but you are too dumb to recognize this. SEC 7 PEAT on the way, Linus. BTW, how are those Jorts?

Linus, I understand why you are soooooo excited. You know ohio is ineligible for post season thus WILL NOT have to play an SEC in the post season (0-11). It will be just like the old days under Woody Hayes. run the table in the laughaable and beaten down lil 1o conference and have a self proclaimed title. You are a delusional fool. Now snap out of it. Everyone knows what happens when ohio has to man up and play an SEC..........

SEC continues to beat up on each other yet it's mid-October and 6 of the top 15 teams are from the SEC and 7 of the top 20. It's an SEC world and everyone else is living in it.

The SEC has been at the top, and is very good this year. No arguement. However; it may be an overstatement to say they "beat up on each other". Looking beyond reputation, and at teams that are ranked in the top 25 as of Oct 13th. Georgia will only play 2 teams in the top 25, Miss St only 3, Alabama only 3, SC 4 with LSU and FL having 5. Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, Ark, MO and Vandy are not really competitive at this time.

By comparison the Big 12 is a more competitive conference with 7 of 10 teams in the top 25. The Big 12 has does not have the best two teams, but it is deeper conference this year. That means that all 6 of the 7 teams will play 6 top 25 teams and OU will play 7 with Notre Dame. Baylor, Okla State and KU are the unranked teams. The only comparative game (not the best measurement) is #1AL vs Ole Miss at Bama 33-14 and #25 TX away at Ole Miss winning 66-31.

My Guess is it will be AL and Org for the national championship. Niether have played a current top 25 team yet. Org has 3 coming up with 2 of them away. Bama also has 3 with 2 at home and away at LSU. Both are excellent teams with favorable schedules. Notre Dame is also a traditional fan favorite with a controversial win over Stanford, but they travel to USC and OU.

NOTE: The ONLY way a Big10 team can play top 25 team is if they schedule out of conference. NOT a single Big 10 team is in the top 25! Oh my!

Bama, Fla, LSU, S. Carolina, UGA, Tex A&M, Miss St are very much indeed having a national weekly playoff to determine who will be the 2013 national champion. the winner will win the 7 peat for the sec. Please save the bs with Oregone. They are 0-2 vs the SEC in big games over the last 2 years.
 






Everybody knows about the current SEC 6 peat. current BCS #1 and #2 both SEC which makes the 7 Peat look like a walk in the park.

what you may not know is going back to 1992 which was the first year of the bowl coalition, the SEC has won 10 national titles n last 20 years. Not another conference anywhere close to that.

those 10 SEC national titles won in the last 20 years were won by 5 different SEC schools. Yep, 40% of the schools in the SEC have won recent national titles. That my little sec haters is conference depth like no other.

Not an SEC hater. Very good league. May be a little too fired up about Alabama's recent success. Advice is to enjoy this season for your team. Nothing lasts forever and the hardtimes are often pushed to the back of the mind. Like many schools they have had some down years and coaching changes. But thier toughest opponent since the mid-90s may be themselves or the NCAA?

Many schools have more wins over the last 5 years than Alabama. The list includes Auburn, LSU, USC, Wisc, Va Tech, OU, TCU, Florida, Boise St, W. Virginia and Oregon. Similar story could be said for a 10 or 20 year time frame.

What school has the #23 winning percentage over the last 20 years at 0.628? Alabama
What school has the #22 winning perentage over the last 10 years at 0.642? Alabama
What school has the #15 winning percentage over the last 5 years at 0.725? Alabama

You are the only one who seems so concerend about Bama with all of your post being focused on them. What part of the SEC winning 10 national titles by 5 different schools over the past 20 years don`t you understand? This my friend is superior depth to all other leagues. No others are close to this dominance. Please take me back to a time when any other conference came any where close to this? I think the issue here is that you choose to not look at national titles to define dominance and national titles are ALL that matters in the SEC.
