College Football: Will the SEC "6 Peat"

little ten continues to stink up the world of college football. ohio has major problems. defense is a sieve and the little kids just haven't learned to tackle. but this is what we have said all off-season -- the little ten is a hollow conference and now the gap continues to widen between the talents and abilities of the Powerful SEC and the bantam league little tenners. Heck even the PAC 12 now has gained a place of higher respect in the eyes of the national media than the little ten. Better watch out little ten, the ACC is nipping at your heels and the Big East will soon switch places with you as the worst conference among the current FBS conferences.

Big Ten football
An embarrassing season-opening loss to Alabama by Michigan left Wisconsin. Nebraska and Michigan State as the national standard bearers for the Big Ten. Inexplicable losses by the Badgers and Cornhuskers in Week 2 to middle-of-the-pack Pac-12 schools left just the Spartans. After Week 3? 2013 can’t get here fast enough for the conference. MSU, the lone B1G school free of NCAA sanctions left with the talent to maintain a presence at the BcS title table, was dropped in a 17-point loss to No. 20 Notre Dame. So, after three weeks of the season, the only unbeaten teams left in the Big Ten that are eligible for the postseason — Ohio State is 3-0 but are banned from the conference championship game/bowl game — are Minnesota (chuckle) and Northwestern (giggle). Regardless of how it’s spun, that’s a sad state of affairs for a conference that’s neither a leader nor a legend in 2012.

True. Big 1o is NOT in the top 3 conferences. 1. SEC 2. Big 12 3. Pac 12

no secret why delaney wanted no part of a playoff. As bad as the big 1o has been in the BCS, it still ensures they got 1-2 teams each year in even if they got skull dragged which they usually did.
 






simple. you can get into alabama with a 1.0 GPA. it is soooo obvious. why would a normal kid spend 4 yrs of his life in tuscaloosa? come on. a natl title ring is nice, but so is campus life. ie bars, ladies, malls, a city metro area etc. why on earth would a kid spend what are supposed to be very fun in tuscaloosa al??? uhhhh. obvious. if he had the grades to get into USC or UCLA or OSU or many other fun places he would. a NC ring is nice, huge, diamonds etc..........but. so are the other rings. conf. champ rings. do they just sit in their slum apartments every weekend while usc players are out surfing and having beach parties and clam bakes at night? LOL. yea. i really wish i had spent 4 yrs in tuscaloosa. it is all about admission standards and cheating. quite simple if you have a brain. NO kids drives thru there and says "WOW what a neat town! Look at the brick streets and blocks of bars." LOL again. I would rather go to Northwestern, have a regular college ring, a GREAT degree and party in downtown Chicago on Rush street! LOL!

Linus just gave up. Realizes the SEC is dominant and neither ohio or any other little ten school can compete with the SEC (or any other conference for that matter) and decided to deflect to talking about his life in the rust belt living amongst the poor inbreds in columbus.

I think you have the right evaluation though; he's hiding until the off-season gives him cover and the ability to talk about "next year" etc, etc... It's never about this season, next year is always going to be "the best" etc, etc...

Oh? Now Linus is a Southern Cal fan? Interesting how ohio is showing major signs of weakness and he doesn't reference football at all. And now he's a bandwagon SoCal fan - too bad he's a week late as the "mighty" trojans got their teeth kicked in on the O-line and were exposed as the fraud they always are. Depth will kill them this year. But let's not let Linus deflect us away towards other crappy teams.
Let's talk about the 100K+ fans in ohio who have just crapped their pants because they realize Urban Liar wasn't all they thought he would be without Tim Tebow etc.

The national media not letting up this week on how weak the little ten is. This from CBS:


• The Big Ten is so bad that the conference as a whole, together, as one has beaten four BCS-conference schools three weeks into the season -- Syracuse, Boston College, Vanderbilt and California.

• The Big Ten is so bad it has two quarterbacks in the top 35 in pass efficiency, Nebraska's Taylor Martinez and Illinois' Reilly O'Toole. The Big 12 has five quarterbacks in the top six.
