College Football: Will the SEC "6 Peat"

The Crimson Tide didn't just beat the Wolverines 41-14; they toyed with them. Embarrassed them. Treated them like an honorary cupcake. You didn't know whether it was Michigan or DeVry Institute. (quote) Gene Wojciechowski - ESPN

Alabama goes down hard to Bethune! Bethune took it easy on them the entire 4th qtr! Next up KY vs Lousiville! Zip's fave team coming up! KY! Will his famed SEC & his FAVORITE team prevail?

Clemson toyed with Auburn yesterday! Mighty Auburn! The 3rd best team in the mighty SEC NFL feeder conference! LOL! Auburn loses. Toomer's corner with a dead tree and sobbing students.

The Auburn team that showed up in Atlanta was a timid group that played to avoid losing.

It was an Auburn team that lacked the championship leadership and confidence needed to beat a formidable SEC opponent.

National columnist from ESPN quote! TIMID!

You didn't know whether it was Michigan or DeVry Institute. (quote) Gene Wojciechowski - ESPN

Linus and Little man don`t want to face the reality of the BEST (highest ranked) team in the little 1o is being compared to DeVry Institute. Bama toyed with best team in the little 1o. It`s not like they were playing Purdue. We`re talking the best team the little 1o has to offer..... little ole Meeechican.

As far as Auburn, don`t spin things. They entered the season ranked behind, Bama, Lsu, Georgia, S. Carolina, Arkansas, and Fla. 7th best SEC team took competitve loss to 2nd best ACC team(behind FSU). Not a big deal. But Meeeechican....... they are the best team in the little 1o. hahahahahahaha

True Dat! The best team in the SEC is called the NATIONAL CHAMPION. The best team in the big 10 is called DeVry Institute.

Deeper? Quit fooling yourself. Having psu in your conference and making a statement about it's depth exposes how little you know about football.
Depth is having 6 National Championships in a row and moving towards a 7th.

7Peat

b 10 is deeper. sec has 2 teams. b 10 has osu, mich, mich st, nebraska and wisky and even penn st when they recover. deepest conf. in nation by far

Just how stupid are you? You deny the present and dream about your unrealistic future. Your best team DeVry Institute (mEEEchican) just got pummeled by Bama and would not finish in the top 5 of the SEC. We SEC fans are now total Devry Institute fans. I hope Devry goes 11-1 now and that will really show how pathetic the entire lil 1o conference really is.

Word is that there were just as many ohio fans pulling for michican't as there were pulling agains them. Why? SEC envy has the best of them and they will do anything (and cheer for anyone who is playing against an SEC team), including selling their soul to michican't, just to see an SEC team lose. This is your arch rival, ohio, and you are pulling for the girls in blue?? How pathetic. The truth is that the 7 Peat is in your head and you are willing to resort to the unthinkable to overthrow the KINGS OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL - SEC

SEC

SEC

SEC

Oregon State??? Seriously??? This is the best the little ten has to offer and it just lost to the PAC 12's worst? All conference wins in the little ten are suspect with how pathetic and weak the conference is. Little ten should seriously consider dropping down a division for a few years until it learns to play big boy football.

Looks like the term "little 10" is not only catching on it is becoming more and more appropriate. This is from Fox Sports:

LITTLE 10: One week after Michigan was embarrassed in the “Cowboys Classic” in a 41-14 loss to Alabama, things got even worse for the Big Ten this past weekend. Coming off two straight trips to the Rose Bowl, Wisconsin lost to Pac-12 bottom feeder Oregon State, 10-7. Nebraska and Illinois also lost on their trips out West to UCLA and Arizona State, respectively. Throw in losses by Iowa, Penn State and Purdue, and the conference went 6-6. That’s abysmal when you consider that the conference’s best win came in Northwestern’s victory over Vanderbilt and that Ohio State and Michigan struggled to get by the likes of Central Florida and Air Force. This bowl season could be a huge embarrassment for the conference.

Where has the big mouthed Bukeye been for the last couple of weeks? I just noticed he hasn't been shooting his mouth off lately. Must have finally gotten the message about the SEC/Little 10. Maybe he got the boot (again) from CafePharma?

He's a the definition of a bandwagon fan. My guess is that he is hiding because he knows the outlook is not so good for ohio or the little ten. Heck, just look at what ESPN is saying about this Division II Conference:

To no one's surprise, the Big Ten took a beating in the latest polls after a horrific Saturday on the field.

Both Wisconsin and Nebraska tumbled out of the AP rankings after losses in Pac-12 territory. The coaches were a bit kinder to both the Badgers and the Huskers. The Big Ten is left with only three teams in the AP poll and four in the coaches' poll, which doesn't rank Ohio State because the Buckeyes are prohibited from postseason play this year.

At least Michigan State, which looks like the class of the conference, moved into the top 10 in both polls. Ohio State and Michigan also moved up in the AP poll despite less-than stellar victories.

Here's a quick look:

AP Poll

No. 10 Michigan State (11 last week)
No. 12 Ohio State (14)
No. 17 Michigan (19)

Coaches' Poll

No. 10 Michigan State (11)
No. 18 Michigan (19)
No. 22 Wisconsin (13)
No. 24 Nebraska (14)

Nebraska is second among those also receiving votes in the AP poll. Wisconsin and Northwestern also are getting some votes, and Northwestern received nine votes in the coaches' poll following its 2-0 start.

Found this interesting take:

Have you ever thought it odd that Notre Dame - which hasn't done anything nationally of note since firing Charlie Weis - gets its own ESPN blog and mutliple helmet stickers, but the fourteen team SEC (which has won the last six championships and legitimately deserves to have been awarded seven of the last eight) shares a blog at the WWL and only gets five stickers? And they say ESPN is too "pro-SEC." Could've fooled me. I know helmet stickers don't mean anything in the great scheme of CFB but its the principle of the thing.
