I don't know, it just doesn't sound right. As for why you would make such a thing up? Come on! This is the world capitol of making things up. You should know that. I am not saying you did make it up, but seriously. If your DM saw the focus of their meeting as number of calls and samples, mine missed the boat entirely, and so did the big boss. Yeah, they expect us to work (duh?), and probably a select few are not working, as always, but those people are a drag on the rest of us, however small. Maybe talk to your DM instead of posting here?

Our DM said that we need to understand that in todays world everyone's time is visible. your sales suck, u may have a scope. The job is easy. The products we sell are good products. the expectation is that you make a difference and make real calls. Except for Asmanex we cant over sample given what we get shipped. I like being treated like adults. Bottom line. Do you work for a DM that reads a script or do you work with one that is honest with you (good or bad). Are you being honest? I am good with what I give to this job. I am good with what I get back.

I second this! This is the same type of attitude I read on another post about some idiot complaining about other people rather than accepting that the industry is not the same anymore. Seriously having a job is a blessing right now. F'in quit & let see what else you can find out there.

work 24 hours? per week? demanding little shits! they pay us for 24 hours and expect us to work 24 hours. I am moving to hicago and becoming a teacher
 












We had our meeting too this week and our manager said some of the same things, even though he doesnt really agree with it. Sounds like we have the same Regional Director. He said to not worry about it, as long as you are making your numbers. But it is annoying, especially since we don't have the same benefits.

Checked the email. Contract runs through 12/13. But if like the other publicis contracts they can terminate any time they want. The good thing is that Merck doesnt do things willy nilly, they plan and plan again. The way I see it is that Merck is an american capitalist co. and as long as we, as a salesforce, are profitable we have jobs. Keep your options open and always have a plan B.
 






checked what e-mail?? do you have a direct line??? we are getting a new product Merck has a new pipeline coming out at the same time the contract ends so maybe they will keep us longer if we are profitable and of course we are much cheaper....
