Will those same engineers be dusted off?
I wonder why Medtronic is paying people to post on this board. No wonder not much gets done here except the managers making powerpoints. Remember the Medicare doesn't pay for powerpoints. If they were so smart why did the start the SubQ ICD following Cameron, shut it down and then restarting it? Followers should at least keep their mouth shut.
I wonder why idiots like you post anything on here.
Let's talk about the recently announced layoffs with Boston Scientific. Looks like S-ICD may not be the answer for CRM. CRM is consolidating. Sales are down. More pricing pressure. This year it may be 1000 employees. Next year another thousand. Start making friends with your competition, not enemies. Keep selling remote monitoring so you can save your company millions of dollars and put yourself out of a job. That's funny!! Start looking at other jobs that require a lot less time and pay more. Oh sorry. I forgot to talk about the game changing S-ICD that you all have been talking about. More important things to worry about than another product. How about future job prospects!!!!

shut it down because there was no market. this was back in the golden age before riata and fidelis; implanters were comfortable with icd+leads.
Cameron kept at it even when "there was no market". That's LEADERSHIP and not all the MBA-talk about leadership.
You're mistaking "Leadership" with "Stupidity". Common mistake. Leadership implies that at some point you actually Lead. BSX wouldn't know that from an MS or management perspective....ever!
Well Cameron/BSX is leading in subQ ICD and Medtronic is playing catch-up! And they are sending their good-for-nothing MBAs to post on this site. Why do they pay these stuffed-shirts?
Again, how can you say you're leading when you are the only one in the race? But is that leading by default? I say, yes. MDT is not interested in this product or making one of their own. This would give BSX a high level of comfort knowing the competition is interested in coming out with their own SubQ but they are not.
Seems like you're more interested in MDT's efforts than you are trying to sell this thing. Perhaps you need to evaluate your priorities.
MDT has restarted development efforts for an S-ICD
BSC patents will make it very hard on mdt. Also if this wasn't a big deal mdt wouldn't be taking a second look.
They aren't and if it were difficult to get a patent they would have resolved it before they would waste any resources. Stop trying to convince yourself that anyone cares about this SubQ.
Either you are lying or you don't know what you are talking about. Of course there is another possibility. You are so busy trolling this BSX site that you don't have time to learn what's going on in-house.
no lead issues with bsx and/or biotronik

Post reliability data for these leads. Show me study data. Replaced a 4 year old BSX Gore lead that fractured today.
