Cameron Health S-ICD

Gee, who really brought this product to market? Once upon a time there was a company named Guidant. Jay Warren left Guidant to start Cameron. Other Guidant folks followed. Cameron was funded by Guidant then BSX. Considering your ignorance of the business, your expert analysis is suspect. You should probably work with your elders to improve your business acumen before posting again.

Wow....that's suppose to be comforting news? Any chance you can address the questions above from previous poster. Give us your best sales pitch. Stop the meaningless history lessons on Cameron and who works there.

Fidelis/Riata/Durata. You morons drove the development of this technology. If you don't understand that you are more helpless than I thought. Also if you are so dense that you don't get the advantages of this device then you don't need to post on this site. It's not for everyone but unfortunately for you there are a lot of pts that this device is perfect for. Sorry but yin lost on this one. Two to three generations in and this technology may take over the market. im telling you not having a lead in the heart is a major advantage. Who wants to deal with the headaches fidelis/Riata/Durata have brought us? Think about it...

What pt would benefit specific to this device?

Just to clarify, Jay was a good CEO, but did not start Cameron. He joined about two to three years into the project. He asked to join. He and Rich heard about the project when Cameron was fundraising and presenting data to Guidant. The analog and digital design was practically finished and the early team had amassed impressive human study data by the time Jay arrived. Gust started the company. The two early designers with defib experience were from ELA and Biotronik. One left in 2006ish and the other in 2008ish when the design wrapped up. They are both in other start-ups now.

Agreed, but in regards to getting this product to market, it was the Guidant/BSX funding that got the job done.

Guidant never funded Cameron. No major design was done by ex-Guidant personal. When some did arrive, they were primarily involved in regulatory, late stage manufacturing, sales and some software and hardware verification. Jay was instrumental in procuring a battery manufacture and had input on the algorithm team.

Who cares??? Stop with the BS history lessons you bunch of geeks.....answer the questions.

What pt would benefit specific to this device? Answer: As you know sales are impressive and gaining momentum. By HRS, there will be compelling literature regarding the S-ICD. Be patient. Can you wait until May? Until, then keep on eye on the sales.

Hahaha. You stupid prick. You've swallowed too much of the GDT/BSX bullshit. BTW I know Jay Warren very well. He still can't hold a fork properly. Anyway, I digress, Posing on here as some Vet of the industry yet your 'facts' are complete fucking nonsense. Get from out of your marketing cubicle, your c0cksucker. Or, you could answer this... What patient group would you give an S-ICD to..? I'll give you 24hrs to call your clinical group for the answer..!

You ever think that the reason we don't say to much is not to expose the company's strategy ... Also did it ever occur to you that the overall rollout of this product is also being handled strategically ... Did it ever occur to you that therr is more in play then just sales? Do you really think we are going to the table just to show you our hand? You are an idiot.

Why don't you answered this d0uche bag .... If you really don't think this device will do something in the long run then why are you on here constantly looking for answers? If this device is such a waste in the market place then why do you spend so much time on this thread? My guess is you feel this is a legitimate threat and try to mask it with bull sh!t I think I know it all comments but really I am d bag who is in over his head.

Good luck c0cksmoke. I hope you enjoy getting railed by BSX sales reps because it's going to happen. If you like we will even blow a load in your face.

Agree. I would say that it is hard to justify putting leads in the heart in general. Look for Nanostem to be approved soon for the "leadless" pacemaker. I just don't see the investment flowing towards CRM products with leads anymore.

Here's your answer. I'm on here to try and add perspective to some of the utter shit that you desperate BSX pricks keep spouting, just in case there happens to be a patient or relative looking for some insight. So that's answered you question why not answer this. What patient group would you give a SICD to as a first choice device? Ask a colleague if you want, because you obviously have the brain capacity of a 8yr old child.

This is your response? You have no clue how to sell this piece of shit. You're a moron. I will laugh my ass off at you in May. Can't wait.

Why don't you ask Larry Epstein at Brigham and Women's? That's Harvard. I think he's pretty smart and can probably provide you the answers you so desperately want.

Your constant whining is pathetic. And claiming that you're simply "trying to add perspective" is so generous of you - adding your insight for the benefit of a internet chat room? Sell that "perspective" to your customers. I bet they have a patient or two that you can benefit from YOUR perspective.

Really, the same Larry who could only find 3 patients in 2 months suitable. Why don't YOU have a bash at answering? You can even call Marketing to see what they say..
It's so sad that people like you are in this industry. You're a disgrace.

Sure, while I'm there I'll ask Harvard Larry about Riata/Durata too; He seems to have his finger on the pulse........
BOSTON — The reports of failures associated with the Riata electrophysiology leads made by St. Jude Medical (St. Paul, Minnesota) have driven the bulk of the conversation at this year's edition of the Heart Rhythm Society (Washington) annual scientific sessions, but one presenter, Larry Epstein, pleaded with physicians not to over-react to the news

I can see you need help, you've just been buttfucked by the 2 previous posts. Here's the FDA submission, have somebody read it to you, they can take out all the hard words, then come up with an answer.
