California says yes to union

As long as it was organized off company premises and none of the company owned property was used to organize the union, they have nothing to fight. No jury in america will side with a corporation over the "little people"...
This whole thing will blow up in everyone's faces. It already is. It's not going to be as easy as the union reps promised. How does everyone like paying those union dues? Oops there goes your raise...

Listen to this, drunk on the koolaid. Even if you conjecture is true, any cost for union dues will quickly and easily be made up by actually being paid the overtime that we earn, the break time, lunch period, and PTO. Plus, having our dignity respected goes a long ways. DIGNITY... it might help if you Google the word.

Wow you sound so uneducated.. What is koolaid? I'm not familiar with that low class drink.. Respect is earned not handed to you. Sadly at least half of our PST's are terrible employees who make many errors even on a slow day. It's going to be so interesting to see how many of you will be left a year from now. Remember you can still get fired and now LC is going to cut you no slack. So get your act together because now you have to actually do your job correctly. Bye bye!

You are just too full of yourself, you arrogant jerk. I'll wager that I am far better educated than you. Btw, ask somebody what "drinking the Kool Aid" means. FYI, you've got it twisted so listen and learn. You do not earn respect because it is a given. Common courtesy and etiquette do not cost a thing. It reflects your upbringing, how you were parented and socialized. It is DISRESPECT that is earned and not handed out.

I know what it means dumbass

That's the point, idiot jerk. Btw, Dumbass who? Oh, that must be you. No class and it shows because instead of thanking me, you hand me disrespect.

When somebody gives you DISrespect, what do you do? You do the same thing you would do if they gave you a counterfeit dollar bill. You give it back. I suspect that you'd pass it on.

So what is this law suit about? Where can you learn about it?
How competent of a HR department and legal team does this company have who would allow such illegal employment practices. The law in California plainly states that after a 40 hour, 5-day work week, on the 6 th day the pay rate is time and one half. On the 7th day, after working 6 days straight, the pay rate is double time. All reputable labs and hospitals know this and practice this. This is also why adequate staffing is vital. Especially in the cytotechnology department where LabCorp employees are paid what is referred to as premium pay.Premium pay is more akin to shift differential pay and not overtime. Whether salaried or not, these rules still apply. It does not matter in most cases. Other labs have been sued for this and had to go back 3 years, repaying ever bit of unpaid overtime in a lump sum settlement. This is a major corporation. Why would you take such risks? It is irresponsible.

Is it a wonder why things are going the way they are?
