Independence Day has a special meaning to our employees this year.
Any news?
really?? Just stop! LC treats good employees very well. You other losers have to blame someone else. Look at yourself in the mirror everyday. Sadly most of you are 20 something years old. Grow up and do your job because seriously I am tired of cleaning up your messes!
Unfortunately, I have to disagree. I have worked for this company for MANY years. I have seen outstanding people leave because they are underappreciated, overworked, and treated like crap! We have phlebotomists and accessioners who are denied PLB due to understaffing, poor scheduling, and managers more interested in themselves than their employees. I have seen sales people constantly hit their numbers but asked for more because others aren't faring as well. Those who work are always asked to do more because of the ones who bring up the rear. They add management, but never add the employees that do the work! Union is not the answer, but if it does get some fairness in the workplace, then go for it. But be careful what you wish for! Unions are notorious for self preservation as well!
Very, very well said. Spot on, could have not said it better myself. Labcorp bases all their decions around a budget and acts accordingly no matter how it affects employees and service. I am amazed that it has lasted this long without a union. Everybody lnows labcorp is the walmart of the lab industry and in a commodity based business, price rules and service is a distant second. I think that is how they survive and flourish. Unless the industry changes it will continue to opeate as is with minor distractions of a union threat here and there. Until a new CEO is in place, it will be business as usual
Despite these issues, the service level has vastly improved over the years and in many markets the service is better than their competition.

What does that tell you about the industry in general?? Sad state of affairs when labcorp is percieved to the industry leader in service in their respective market
A CBC is a CBC......it's all about the rep. My clients love me.
In a commodity based business, price sells. Your above analogy only applies when cost out of pocket is at least closely comparable or exactly the same. If a cbc through labcorp is considered out of network for the patient or a much higher cost than a competitor, it doesnt matter how good of a rep your or high likable you are, they will use a different lab. Moral of te story- managed care rules the game
Funny the bullying goes from the east to west coast. Maybe DK and LS should really look who they put in these high profile positions and resize it starts from the top which leads me to believe they are bullies as well. Union will help the front line- remember that yes we all like money but being treated well and not being bullied will go along way. The union is brought in when the folks who are being bullied need a voice and some relief. A happy worker provides a lot better service than one who is being screamed at all day! I say they need a union for multiple reasons, LC will never change and look at you as a number that can be relaxed they don't care about you.
Hope it spreads far and fast.looks like your advice is being heard because there is a shake up happening on the West Coast. OK, Union. Lets see some of that magic that was promised. Are we going to get the well trained professional service oriented management style that we deserve? No one likes a bully or wants to work with one.
So what happened with the vote. Did the you ion get in.I heard from a reliable source that the union was voted in for new jersey and new york and will be announced this week!
So what happened with the vote? Did the you union get in?
Major class action lawsuit brewing. It's coming. Lab Corp will be paying and you'll be reading about it soon. Major cash coming to the plaintiffs. It's long overdue. You can join too. Stay tuned!!!
So what is this law suit about? Where can you learn about it?
Forget about lawsuits. The company has an army of lawyers and will drag things out for years. Organizing a union is a much quicker path to change. Recent changes in the law make it harder for an employer to fight.
