Cadence will be hiring soon

This is completely not true. Cadence will have very obtainable sales objectives for first 12 months. P&T is a process and Cadence knows this. Listen to conference call. Congrats to those that were fortunate enough to get on. It is going to be a great ride. For the unfortunate, keep trying I am sure Merck/SP or Phizer/Wyeth will be hiring and firing soon.

Not true. Every Quarter reps will be force ranked amongst each other within the same division. The each division consists of 9 reps. If you are consistently in the bottom for 2 maybe 3 quarters then you are let go. So you better hope P&T works quickly in your territory.

How is this different from any other biotech start up launch? You should be very happy you were not hired. You do not mention the top 3 reps in each division will be making a SHIT load of bonus. And my P&T are already waiting to put this on formulary, surgeons can not wait.

I'm more than a little skeptical, here. This doesn't make sense. Cadence will spend the time, money and resources to hire and train qualified reps., only to fire them in just over 6 months? Then the company has to go through the whole process again, this time with a newly trained rep to replace the one just fired. This company has no chance of success if this is their strategy. It would be a leper colony for reps that couldn't get jobs anywhere else. Why would anyone take a job here unless there is absolutely nothing else out there for them?

Also, what about managers...they'd be so busy firing reps and trying to train new ones they'd get little else done. Of course I assume managers would also be getting fired left and right if they drop into the bottom of sales manager rankings.

This is straight from the mouth of the hiring DM. I had a couple of friends that interviewed in different states and they confirmed the same thing. It doesn't make sense to me either but this is world of biotech, i guess. High risk high reward.

What the fuck are you crazy ass people talking about? This is going to be an awesome launch with great people and really good pay. Sure no options sucks, but I believe Cadence will take care of those who sell very nicely. I can’t believe you people are complaining about this job

no call reporting
all hospital
great culture
great base at least mine was unreal
great bonus potential
first in class
first line

I have sold a lot worse and made a shit load doing it. Please take your complaining sorry no job getting ass's someplace else.

Give me a fucking break

O.K seems like offers range from 90-125K base. Is that correct? Would you say that they base that on experience/i.e. years of pharma sales or just based on what you ask for or where you are in your highest verifiable salary? I know poeple with less than 10 years experience making more than 98K base and others with 20years experince making less.
Care allowance in the pharma industry?
Makes some since to wait for fda approval but not at this point as you would want to start setting up in-services and hospital pharmacy appointments in anticipation of approval in 2 wks-nov 13 is fda padufa date.

Anyone have any good information to share?

Yes, go back to grammar school and hurry.

Is that so? Well not only will I "beat you to the punch" but just in case you're not in my division, I will go on a punching rampage across the entire Cadence sales force. Just to make sure that I lay you out. That's right hundreds of innocent will have to pay for your comments. Nobody calls me a douchbag and gets away with it. Nobody.

Pay no attention to these two they probably are really Butt buddies.
