This is the third time the comp plan changed. It used to be incredible. Then it was great. Now it's ok. It's still better than most other specialty labs out there. True it's not easy to find great talent. but believe me if I started a new company there are only a handful of BH reps I would take with me. Every specialty lab has a handful of good reps to choose from.

more coming? not a surprise. we've had at least 2 rounds of layoffs in the past year maybe more. since valuable people just stop showing up and than after a few months we figure out they went missing.
the signs of failure are there if you look. i heard of two contracters that were paid 4-5 months late

So true! Way too much focus on EBIDA! Everyone seems to be looking for a new job but most are wanting to stay in CVD, Cancer diagnostics seem to have a much brighter future

Losing talent cost $$. Look at the numbers of those who have left, dropping like a rock. With several more to come this willl get very costly. Sales is the life line for any company. New guy better fix things soon.

Everyone has learned the only way to fix sales in a downward market is to cut commissions (this will excite the troops) then track their every move with a tool like perhaps spreadsheets. The spreadsheets and salesforce calls have been tried before and didn't make much of a difference and this will go away again but lower commissions will not. From day one the commission plan here has never increased. It has always decreased and will continue to as the company tries to find that fine line of keeping most reps and most business with dropping the commission as much as it can. Every time we have messed with commission rates good talent has left. They think they can just replace these folks and retain most of the business but they don't realize how important rep relationships are and how quickly good accounts will disappear without their favorite rep.
