Biohaven Pharmaceuticals

Heard layoffs in January. Your manager won’t tell you anything but inside source says less reps to cut costs. Good luck out there. Too many of you.. can’t keep giving away product and pay ya’ll.

Right. Because what could possibly be wrong with a business model that gives away the farm on a new drug and has territories only producing 20-30 Rx's a week staffed by 2 reps making $110,000+, plus bonus, plus car, plus benefits.

That can go on forever. Like Celine Dion's heart in Titanic.

on the investor call they said operating costs were $42M per quarter and $17M in revenue. Also took loss of $195M in Q3 alone. These are facts. They can be verified. They have to monetize this drug in January, wait for it. Well be doing PAs like crazy to make money. That’s why even if you are generating scripts your manager is like you still need to get PAs done even at $0 copay. They are losing money every script they use the access card with.

UGH we've been lulled in the NRX/TRX scenario market share story which sounds all too great but the bottom line is in the DOLLAR PROFIT.

Expect to see the ‘as low as $0’ offer move up to $5 or $10. That extra $5 to $10 actually makes a big difference in the gross to net number. Anyplace the brand team can scale back they will investigate.

basically it’s a ‘bait and switch’ scenario. Get patients in product for ‘free’ (even though their employer AND BHVN pick up majority of the cost.). Now the patients are on and you can slowly peel back on the max benefit for the card (reduce monthly max $ benefit, push copay UP to $10, etc). People with migraines will pay $10 for the drug if it keeps their heads feeling better.

Yeah.. let’s try to explain all that to customers. They are going to love the bait and switch .. layoffs on way.. not all reps can keep jobs with this environment for at least 6 more months. Customers already shutting doors and we keep trying to knock on them. Now tell them they have to do more work.. righttttt
