Really? If management is not needed why do we have them? Oh yeah they are supposed to be the strategic
Leaders helping guide tbe team to success, coachig you when you get stuck in the weeds, having the experience and knowlege of the businesss to see things you dont and have a plan to overcome those obstacles. Help to make you a better team member. Unfortunately Quest is bankrupt in all those areas that is why they are failing, like a battleship its taken hit after hit yet its still afloat but eventually it will sink how much more business can you afford to you lose? DOD, Loss in PA, big hospitals etc. Etc. Labcorp is having a field day they were smart enough to keep thier sales mangers competent, keep their sales teams expertise seperate and well educated, so far its working.

Don't forget better paid and incentivized. Quest with its quarterly payouts is still the only lab that does this. Sales reps sees this as corporate's way to pay us next to nothing for our hard work by having unattainable budgets, ridiculous reports to submit, call logs to enter and most of all a micromanagement of every single aspect of our day. Im not surprised that the Sales Leaders don't feel as though they need to lead, rather they sit in their office, do nothing all day and then criticize their reps because they left the field at 4:59 pm. If Quest reps are smart they will leave, it will only get worse and with the present leadership in the East. They will continue to alienate their sales reps and do nothing to change the toxic culture that has consumed the company.
