American HomePatient tick toc tick toc

Third stay of execution??? When did this happen? I have only heard about the second forbearance agreement entered into on September 1st, 2009.

Happened yesterday around noon. Seems they still can't figure out what to do. Most of the medical business journals publicized the decision.

As an earlier post stated, this is whats helping to give DME such a bad rap.

I don't think there is a limit on forbearance agreements. This could go on and on. I guess noone has any inside info about Highlands. I read on another website that they are having issues.

Who cares!!!

She sucks just like the rest of them. I would never admit to that being my territory anyway. Their reps are horrible. We love marketing against them. They are all like little robots who have been programmed to say this or that, with very little personality. I hope she is still there, cause we're kicking her butt all over the southeast!!! Great training program!

thank God that most of the Southeast has thrown in the towel. The reps either got fired or they just sit at home and watch Springer

Now if they will just get rid of the GM's. What a bunch of over paid " Yes " people. If Brentwood says the sky is purple, you better believe you'll have an inservice to educate you on Purple!!

I would be curious to know about the Maurer lady as well. Our paths crossed a few times and she seemd waaaay to smart to work for that group.

Same old s*it. The CEO is a parasite. The home office is top heavy. They are hanging on by their fingernails.

They've been top heavy for ever. They have a different VP for everything. It was so comical getting emails from Brentwood. Every time something was sent, it was a different VP sending it. I guess they had no other employees other than VP's. That does not even count the Area VP's, who buy the way, are as worthless as they come.

They fire the good people and keep the crap. Keep it up AHOM, you make our jobs much easier!!!

conditions on the inside are horrible. In a desperate attempt to save the company, they have decided to micro-manage sales people. They have done this by sending general managers to a 2 day meeting about sales management (where they threatened them and scared the crap out of them) and then back to branch to manage sales people.

most sales people I know spend so much time in the office, doing pointless mandatory worksheets and meetings and role plays with our general manager. What a joke. I have never felt so degraded in my life. My gm doesn't understand anything about sales. (2 days at meeting doesn't make them experts in sales) She does mandatory ride-alongs all the time and is a complete idiot. She doesn't even know what "prospecting" is.

Here is the kicker... My gm doesn't have a college degree and neither do many of the gm's in the company. Most of them are former respiratory therapists...Not sales managers let alone general managers.

what does this mean?

How do people go to work at AHP everyday. Are they worried... is the company telling employees anything.. I would think that people would be leaving as soon as they can find something... are they hopefull that things will improve I don't get it. good luck to all still employed at AHP

i know someone that works there. I heard the managers never leave, they think everything is fine and their gig is too good. They don't even have to come to the office... they do email from home etc. However, the other employees like delivery drivers and respiratory therapists and sales people are miserable and many are looking but having trouble finding jobs.
