American HomePatient tick toc tick toc

Question: Why do these Boards (AHOM, ROTC, etc) continue to pay huge "retention bonuses" to keep these guys? Retain them for what? Hell, let's throw a performance bonus in as well!! There has to be more to the story. If my performance at my little job looked like these guys, I wouldn't have my little job!! What gives?

THEY DON'T WANT TO TRAIN SOMEONE ELSE TO JUGGLE THE NUMBERS.

is it possible that they will file for bankruptcy? I know they have been through bankruptcy in the past, but not sure what guidelines are for corporate bankrupcties and if they are allowed to file twice in one decade

They probably will. Too bad they can get away with it again....., Gotta love the system!!!!!

Hopefully, someone will make them restructure that sorry board and get some people in there who know how to manage money. Simply amazing that they are letting that sorry CEO keep his job, even with a buyout clause.

I'll chip in a buck......!

when will we know something? if on sept 30, they announce a 3rd forbearance agreement i will not be able to make anymore excuses to the doctor's offices, referrals are down because of all this mess

Trust me, you will be one of the LAST to know. That's the way it is with AHP!! So sorry for your luck with the referral sources. They are smarter than they appear. Your company brought this on themselves and now they are paying the price. As a previous email stated, how can they manage disease prevention and treatment options when they can't manage themselves?

AHOM will not JUST close. If anything it will be consumed by another DME company and a few changes later, under a new name. AHOM has way too many established patients to just drop everyone and find close enough providers in network with the patients insurnace. Or just come up with a new company name all together.....
Case in point; CPAP Support Center, aka American CPAP Direct. A call center devoted to sending out as many CPAP supply orders as they can without even speaking with the patient to see if they even WANT new supplies. Twice I have gotten supplies without even so much as a message. They think by changing up the name that people wouldn't know it is still the same crappy service they got a year ago.
What do you think? https://www.cpapsupplydirect.com/

2 weeks until 2nd forbearance agreement runs out. Anyone going to enlighten us on what the company is going to do?

a. 2nd bankruptcy
b. foreclosure
c. ahp gets refinancing or forgiveness from bank and continues their brilliant operations as normal

I'll bet the farm it's option C. They somehow seem to have 9 lives. Joe and the boys are surely blessed by the huge horse shoe they have in their back pocket.

It it were " Joe Average Citizen ", we'd be out of business and black-marked forever! Why doesn't NexBank, AKA, Highland, put these greedy people out of business, once and for all? At worst, completely re-structure them and get rid of the management group. Isn't it obvious they can't control their dealings??

NexBank....., be pro-active and send a message to all the companies that know how to manage money and do not grant them a pardon!!!!

I 2nd that emotion!!!

Uh, you don't get out much, do you?

Lincare's stock price is up over 40% this year. They are printing money. Apria remains strong financially.

RoTech and American home suck. They have for over 10 years. They just suck worse each year.

very true. All companies have faced cuts, but they have managed them well (like a good company should) Lincare, is phenomenal company and will eat American Homepatient alive.

Does anyone know if Amy Maurer is still the DOS for the southeast with AHP? She seemed to have a lot on the ball and I wonder if they cut the position during this debacle.

Who cares!!!

She sucks just like the rest of them. I would never admit to that being my territory anyway. Their reps are horrible. We love marketing against them. They are all like little robots who have been programmed to say this or that, with very little personality. I hope she is still there, cause we're kicking her butt all over the southeast!!! Great training program!

WOW!!!

A third " stay of execution " for this group....., Somebody must have pictures of someone!!
Really, what does this say about our industry???

You can't tell me that all those highly trained, educated people can't figure out what to do with that company. Do they really think AHP will ever come close to paying this debt off? We all know what is going to happen, so just let it happen. Forgive the debt ( what a joke ), pay-off Furlong ( what a joke ), re-structure the company and let them remain AHP.

This is truly a joke of our economic system. My house, my car etc., would be long gone by now if this happened to me. This is a small part of what is giving Healthcare such a bad rap right now.

Shame on everyone involved, from HCM, NexBank and most of all AHP for allowing this to go on for a decade!!!

That is unbelievable. Either the company is making huge payments towards the debt and giving the bank false hope or I don't know what is going on. Highlands is such a good company, why are they tolerating this non-sense. Makes me question Highlands.

I suspect you were just joking about the pictures but in my cynical mind I'm not so sure it's a joke. If you try, and I emphasize try to look at these situations at AHOM and ROTC, you see that making sense out of what their respective Boards continue to condone and support just doesn't make any logical sense. Again, this is corporate America and I am beginning to believe that the CEO corps credo is get inside, hit them for the big bucks, learn as much corrupt and illegal information as possible involving the company and either have a job for life or depart with a monster golden parachute never to mutter any nasty words about your prior fine employer. If anyone has a better explanation how these guys survive and flourish in light of horrible performance, I'm all ears.

Third stay of execution??? When did this happen? I have only heard about the second forbearance agreement entered into on September 1st, 2009.
