All Day Lie

Take an honest look at yourself. Have you been a rep with GSK for ore than ten years? You have sold your ethics, morals and soul to the devil. You do not have a spine. You are a frightened little child afraid of your own shadow. Sure, you will have a smart a$$ remark and claim that I do not know what I am taking about. Take an honest look at yourself. You know it's true. We all know it's true. If you say you are handcuffed, that's just a nice way of saying you live beyond your means. A nice way of saying you are too afraid to leave. So so sad. Look at the activity on the GSK CP board. LOOK AT IT!! It's putrid and toxic! Stop complaining. You obviously are quite content working for GSK.

been at gsk a year it’s a horrible culture and horrible leadership, applying to everything i can to get out

It’s all smoke and mirrors. All I do is work a few hours Tuesday thru Thursday. I have 4 day weekends. Been lying for years. There is NO Access here and it’s been that way for years.

Question for the rep who's been here 25+ years. You know the one. 50-somthing. Been selling Asthma related meds the entire time. Calling on the same docs. How have you done it for so long? How can you take direction from younger FLL's / RSD's who are inept? Why do you stay? I've been her 12 years and can't take it! Sold Advair, Breo, Anoro, Trelegy and Nucala. It's groundhogs day everyday! I salute you for your loyalty but I just can't understand why you chose to remain? I just received a call from a recruiter. Have a phone screen later next week. Can those 50-somethings please enlighten me as to why you stay? Is there something I'm missing? Honest answers please.

Honest answer here

Tell me where I can make $120,000 salary, $30,000 Bonus, cheap car, free gas, FLEXIBLE schedule, 20 days vacation plus a free week shutdown at Christmas?

THAT’S how I have done it so long.

If you think you are going somewhere else that will be free of any perceived hassles GSK has given you, well... you are wrong. All companies in every industry have issues, find one that has the issues you can handle and stay there.

All hope lost, no creativity, complacent and lazy. Plenty of 6 figure jobs out there, that’s not that much money, you depend on others plain and simple. Keep rationalizing it comes easy to you now, probably your default position after GSKing it for so long. You are simply a loser. No balls!

Post #164 is a huge part of the problem. That person probably has really good sales numbers as well. Probably lives in Texas, Florida or New York. Somehow those territories always seem to perform well...even when no rep is in the territory..Hmmmm?? Yet the company lavishes praise on these individuals and treats them like the second coming. Hard working reps who try to do the right thing but have more challenging geographies are put under the gun. Yes, the grass is not always greener. The problem is that here at GSK we play on astroturf. It's fake. Just like the calls we make. Lies upon lies. In the final phase of interviewing with a small biotech. Pays much more than the 120K salary you referenced. Best of luck to you but I have too much self-respect for myself. Can't take this company any longer.

Wishing you good luck. I am working like a crazy person to get out of GSK. Can’t take it. Lol. Every company has its issues, but GSK is just too much.

When is upper management going to figure this out...there is little to no access. I feel like a criminal lying each and every day. Not only lying taking a big fat paycheck, car, benefits and the list goes on. It is a make believe job!!!

stop feeling quilty, your territory is still creating sales thus profit for the company. I wish I could do more each day but doing what I can to help generate business, that and staying positive is all we got!!

I always get a chuckle out of replies like the one above. I’m a real loser that will be retiring as a multi millionaire sooner than later. You see, it’s not only about the $$$ you make it’s about the money you don’t spend.

So much of your post is complete shit. You are the rep that struggles and it’s never your fault. If access is the current issue that prevents you from being successful then why do you think a different company will change that access issue?

Benlysta rep here in the Midwest. Haven’t seen a single provider in months. It’s closed here and has been for years. I just grab a few names and play the dishonest card.

Everyone remembers the GSK theme song "What have you done today to feel proud"? I would like to suggest a new theme song from the 80's. The Thompson Twins - Lies. Lies Lies Lies yaehaa!! The company lies to us, we lie to them, layoffs occur every two years...and that ain't no lie!

$hit is coming down hard! This is just the first wave. In June the re-org will merge Trelegy & Nucala Reps. Then there will be more calibrations utilized in the next downsizing which will take place in early 2023. Think I'm kidding? Any of remember when Emma said that 2020 was going to be a pivotal year? Layoffs would have occurred 6 months ago but due to COVID they delayed it. 2022 is the next phase and will see a major bloodbath! I'm not trying to frighten you, I am trying to help you. If you survive the next this next re-org and have more than 5 years to work, you should consider leaving. The fact of the matter is that those who are let go this round will find work quickly and most likely receive pay raises. Those who remain will be micro-managed to death. At the end of a year you will all be informed of another restructure. GSK's financials are not well. Product pipeline is in the crapper. A corporate takeover is not out of the question either. You've been warned and educated, stay at your own risk. - Zigler out!
