just looked up d minimum monthly wage in china its only 300 euro a month so I suppose they can build the product at a cheaper rate than here then not to mention Shanghai has the biggest port in the world and guess where the site is right beside the port how convenient for them. I know they only told us today but how long has this been in the pipeline i am more worried about what they are not telling us to be honest. Just like Costa Rica we did survive but over 200 did not survive or did you forget about the redundancies in March 2013 so it is possible that the next plan for layoffs is already in place but they trying to keep us sweet because it maybe 2 or 3 years away yet.

EFFECTIVE NOTICE HEREBY I want to test the credibility of this site so I want 2 call a boycott of the canteen for the first 2 weeks in FEB which is the 2nd of feb untill the 13th of FEB. the reason why the food is rubbish and im sick of it you go in for breakfast the most important meal of the day is a fry up which is tasteless usually burnt or undercooked. The bowls for cereals are hot just after coming out of the dishwasher nd d porridge is like dog food. The prices charged for a sandwhich meaning 2 slices of bread with 1 slice of ham plus 1 slice of cheese plus 3 slices of tomato and butter and a cup of tea is over 3 euro day light robbery. NOW the main course for god sake the original irish dinner should consist of 2 sliced bacon with parsley sauce and cabbage and 2 or 3 scoops mash potato or 2 original potatos what do they give us fukin japanese food taken d fukin piss when did irish people eat japaneese food which taste like gone off diarrahea. then you et a can of coke 2 wash d horrible taste awat and then they charge nearly 6 euro for it like that is nearly 10 euro a day which is about 30-40 euro a week the prices are way 2 expensive imagine you can go down 2 lyons at lunch time nd get a burger chips nd a can of coke for less than fiver nd dey charge nearly 6. I can get a roll down town for 3 euro nd it would be packed with everything i want nd still get a cup of tea nd a newspaper fukin joke reduce your prices for d dog food that ye serve nd at least get d girls at the till 2 smile it would hardly kill them but some of them it probaly would. Im no chef but if you wudnt mind put a cooker in the canteen that i can use 2 cook an egg a sausage nd a bit of bacon so i can make sure be food is cooked 2 my liken nd who d hell charges 17cent for a teabag hot water nd a cup reduce that at once 2 free tea and coffee should be free for godsake id take that over your stinky xmas dinner every year. i hope the service improves but untill it does boycott the canteen from the 2nd of feb to 13th of feb. It wudnt kill people 2 bring in a sandwhich for the 2weeks. Its time 2 make a stand nd if dey dont improve boycott permanetly. Thanks I hope people realise that to live healthy we have to eat healthy which is part of abbotts vison for a happier worker and a healthy worker. So canteen change suppliers if need be change cooks if need be if ye want my money ye will improve please support me everyone we can get results.
 












what a stupid question just because someone wants 2 eat a decent meal at work does not mean you should insult the persons family and to be honest anyone working for Abbott have not had the time 2 live if you think about it I work in a concentration camp d only difference is instead of using gas they use horrible evil tactics to force you out the door by forcing sick people to work and by hiring that evil doctor down in mary street luckily I bring in my own food so it is a choice i tell people not 2 eat in the canteen all d time coz its worse than dog food but the xmas dinner was nice but d deserts were terrible. The food that a person eats can be vital for that persons mood so its an interesting topic really i mean if you worked for google you would have free meals everyday but the fact is the so called subsidized canteen is expensive so do as I do and bring in your food and whoever wants to eat up there let them I do not really care all I want is the place 2 fold so I can get my paycheck nd run but what I find revolting up there is the atmosphere id say 70 per cent of people eat up there and 2 be fair the only issue i have is that because of location and how short the breaks are people cant leave the workplace therefore people are forced 2 spend an extra 30 mins per day in that shithole so what im saying is if you are on company grounds are you insured if an accident happens on your break if we are then people should be paid 4 every minute spent in that hellhole. The canteen is a luxury for people who cannot make sandwiches and irrelevant to this site if you have an issue with the grub do not eat it or make a complaint. This site should be used for real issues like when the fuck are we going 2 get redundancy anything other than that is a waste of time. The place is horrible from the moment you drag yourself to the place to the time you park up in the evening/night. If the canteen is your only complaint about the place your a very lucky person you say boycott the canteen id say everyone should do what the gardi did years ago and everybody ring in sick with blueflu that would really rattle them to the ground in fairness the nazis would be proud
 












I can solve the ENTIRE problem of bad canteen food AND working in the Abbott concentration camp, since you think it's so terrible: There's the door. Don't let it hit you in the ass (arse) on your way out. Damn sissy la-la...
 






I retired and my advice to anyone out there is to get out of this company. They run the place by intimidation and fear. In hindsight I wish I had the guts to get out sooner and work for a positive company.

Well said!! I too, wanted to leave, but I had over 28 years invested, so I just bit my tongue and swallowed my pride and waited to be laid off. It was a blessing.
 












abbott clonmel is a bit like man utd dey buy in di maria spend millions dat he will be d savior so far he just one player who has been rubbish so far aka bvs. dey buy van persie an oldie from arsenal win a league title make a quick buck united are saved aka vessel closure den d hero alex ferguson retires from managment aka it all goes belly up aka cronin joins nutrition nd we end up with well demiseeeeeeeeee but unlike man utd abbott dnt sack rubbish so it looks like we will end up like arsenal we happy with top 4 but dey only 4 players n d game. d madness continues. sales 9 per cent down is a joke all d overtime dem muppets had us doing nd dey cant sell it waste of my time which cud be better served has a state employee pickin up me paycheck on Wednesday nd drinkin it all by thursday i want a minimum bonus of 12 per cent coz im sick of bin george michael dey only so many times a man can bend over.
 






Abbott wateva you say about them they always hire 1 in 3 absolute models i be going 2 d toilet so much just to release my demons iv no time for work i just go in 2 look at d beauty god has placed me in so everyday i go into work I thank him for placing these wonderful creatures around me and trust me the pleasure is all mine cant wait for the summer hot weather means less is more so happy me. Well at least you blokes at Clownmel won't have to complain about the food much longer... Maybe if those of you hand assembling Libre had cut back a wee bit on the pints at lunch ...
 


















have to say the reviews this year what a joke as every other year a total piss take not happy with the negative work environment which the company creates every feb by holding some people 10 times better off than someone else who was unfortunate enough not able to attend work because of an illness totally disgusting by a healthcare company and also people do ring in sick because the company wont give them a days holidays which they actually need and that is why absense is so high because people say to hell with it ill take 3 days off sick if you are unreasonable how many staff got to take all holidays due to them in 2014. Its a personality contest if you are liked by your supervisor you get a good review and also the amount of people who have given years and years of dedicated service to the company are still classed the same as if they walked in the door how is it fair someone who has given 10 years of a life to Abbott is paid less than someone who has given 8 years it causes a divide and its disgusting really one of the worst things about abbott clonmel no equality in the workplace how is it someone doing the same job as me is paid nearly 30 percent more than me it kills morale and this is why I hope redundancy come soon I hate working for a company who do not believe in the basic human right of equality. But its no surprise really our managment are constantly killing us harshly but your bad reviews wont deter me I know they are hoping people leave but im going nowhere now without my money so pay up so Im working under protest from now on so if its one year left or 2 years left or even 10 years left im going nowhere and im also going to ring joeduffy im going to tell the nation about your horrible tactics to force people out the door. love the company hate the site. rant over
