Amilyn has successfully launched a temorary restraining order against Lilly, preventing them from marketing Tradjenta with the same sales force that markets Byetta. It is a conflict of interest. Trjenta only has 4-6 months before it loses its patent. With this judicious conflict, Lilly is hiring a bunch of contract reps to sell a drug for 6 months.

The size of the contract is too big and the cost would be too much for 6 months worth of work.

You're still wrong.

With the lawsuit Amylin is trying to move forward with against Lilly's partnership with BI and it's new dpp4i I highly doubt it

No - that is exactly why it is Lilly. Lilly has settled to hiring a 500 person expansion to promote amylin's drug.Because the BI product and the Amylin drug cannot be promoted together. That is why quintiles got handed it last week, and needs to be fully hired and reps start by july 1.

And ...

AND- recruiting has already started, phone screening next week. going to be a very brief interview phase. Hiring DM's and Rep's at the same time. Team needs to be in place by June 25, salary anywhere from 50 to 60 650 car allowance, its two products, starts July 5th. Recruiters have cc today to find out more. 500 reps. Recruiters are saying they don't know who it is but Joe C. appearantly sent out an email to the 6371 reps updating them on thier bonus situation, and said it was Lilly in there. Spoken to a few reps in the field working for other diabetes companies and they think its going to be Tradjenda, and another product.

Q changed the preferred area of experience from Diabetes, to Diabetes, CNS , CV. I think the second product is Cymbalta., That works for me.....

That would be great... As far as the Diabetes product, it's gotta be Byetta... They're in launch mode right now with Tradjenta - Lilly and BI reps (and inVentiv reps) out there now. It makes more sense to give Byetta to the new sales force.

By the way, does Quintiles usually look at their "own people" (former CSOs with them) first? Or do they tend to go outside?

Quintiles states they try as best as possible to place the previous reps, or dm's, in most cases, I have personally experience a bit different. But still being in my 1 year since I was employed there, I am still considered internal applicant, and with the short time frame and size of this contract, I think the recruiters are swamped, and in my personal opinion, they will do a bit of both, but probably lean toward recent displaced contract reps, because they would be the fastest to bring on board. They have just changed the "preferred" experience, to add cns and cv...interesting that a cns contract and a cv contract just ended within the last 3 months. :) May be a clue as to what the products are..but it may be a CYA move, when hiring...especially if they are picking up the cv and cns reps that were just displaced.

Dear Definitive and Perfect Post (Hereafter named “Definitive” so we know who we’re addressing.)

Do you think we may be required to take the Lilly screening “survey”?

I took the thing more than six months ago for the quasi-return of the 6122 project. It was required. I didn’t pass.

The spooky thing was I had both district and regional ranking during the contract, worked and played well with others on my report card and knew my customers by zip code.

When it came to the part about how many past employers have you had ... I wonder if being in the CSO industry and having to change companies for the next contract did me in?

Question: Now that it’s been six months, and trusting that they won’t just pull old test scores ... if I change that answer to the “CSO industry” and leave it alone, if I might stand a better chance of getting past the screening.

Thoughts? (From everybody ... Y’all come in and hep out),

Perfect Poster here: If you think you should change your answer, then do it. Its nice when you know what that answer was that may have been the issue. I say change your answer.

I myself have been concerned about the phone screen, wondering if it is gonna be a standard phone screen or the Lilly test. I have had a couple of different hints but they both contradict...I was originally told don't get distracted while doing the screen as if you don't pass you don't move forward. Then I was also told it is a standard phone screen. I am gonna keep researching..cuz I have my screen early next week.

Now I want you to get on this contract, as well as myself get on the contract..so I can spend most of training trying to figure out who you are..

Same thing happened when Lilly acquired Icos. Icos reps took the required exam and most failed because Lilly wanted it that way. Lilly is a total schlock outfit.
