6517

Are you currently working for Quintiles and were you on Contract 7048 until today, when you would have started on Contract 6517 (probably with a nice increase in salary)? And were you on the Quintiles Conference Call last week where we learned that we would be paid the same bonus on Nucynta ER as the Janssen reps? If you can answer yes to both questions, then I guess we are just in disagreement in our interpretation of "serious cash." But if you have to answer no to those questions, why not just accept some information provided by someone who has that information to offer?

This is total BS. I don't if you were in the interviews with janssen, but being a former q employee got you nothing. They kicked more former q employees then then they keep. Who will get offers is totally up to the janssen DM's. And they had already pick out the who they want.

It was probably more about your attitude that "got you nothing".

I'm in the southwest and I don't think the tone of your attitude in your comment is going to fly if you project that setiment out in the field as a rep. Corporate holds the cards. You have to be flexible, mature and willing to adjust in this economic climate these days.

I understand your impatience; however, let's project professionalism to our customer because that is all we've got-

Be positive.

I am trying to stay positive and I was just being sarcastic....geez!

This is all new information to me - what did #7048 sell and for whom? Any other info as it relates to this project is appreciated.

Gosh... still waiting myself, still applying for jobs, and hoping for the best.
Surprised east coast has no info here almost at the COB today.

7048 was the Quintiles contract with PriCara division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen (now known as Janssen) which filled vacant Janssen territories with Quintiles reps. It began in the spring of 2010 and was to be a 2 year contract. It involved both the pain sales force (Nucynta) and the primary care sales force (Levaquin, Aciphex, Nucynta, etc.). When Janssen realigned as of July 2011, some Quintiles reps were laid off. Those who retained territories transitioned over to the new Contract 6517 today.

WHAT?!!! THOSE RETAINED TRANSITIONED OVER TO 6517 TODAY 9/19????
Tell me more about these geographic areas as I am waiting to hear good word today. I was on another Q project and hope to still be considered.

What else do you know?

How many reps are we talking about?

We were told this was part of the process before they started interviewing new candidates, like me, for additional territories. In my state there were 3 or 4 territory postings that were removed after a short period of time, we heard later it was because current 7048 reps were moving to 6517. It's not earth breaking news, I'm just frustrated because today was also supposed to be our first day of home study. Maybe this means we'll hear tomorrow, I don't know...

Contract 6517 started today and those who were still on 7048 (nationwide, as far as I know) transitioned over. From what I've been told by both Janssen and Quintiles managers, offers have not yet gone out to the new hires for 6517, but it is going to happen. I think it will happen soon, but that's just my speculation. If you were on a Q project other than 7048, I wouldn't know how you're affected. Good luck.

I am frustrated as well because of the energy involved with keeping my hopes up and being positive. I am in Colorado, what state are you in? Do you know which areas have openings or which regions? I heard 200 reps to be hired.

This is the best news in 4 weeks, this means the contract is a 100 percent on, which I doubted for weeks.

Could someone clarify this for me. Per the above quote saying "100% on" is that just for those who were rolled from the Pricara/McNeil project to 6517 .... Or, does this mean that other reps will also be added to this mix?

Does 100% on mean that if you were positioned (yet not from the earlier project) there is still hope? I need a glimmer of hope...

Thank you for clarifying. Anyone get an email or call yet?

I have heard absolutely NOTHING!!! I was told that I was definitely getting an offer, that the Janssen mgr wanted me and to sit tight, blah, blah, blah, and so on for the past 5 weeks!!!
I am not a current quintiles rep on the other contract that was being rolled over, and am losing hope quickly!! Thought there would at least be an email today, but nada!!! Who am I kidding, not losing hope: have lost hope, am interviewing for other jobs and will take whatever I am offered first!

Who knows what this means, sad part is we have to care so much about getting a contract
job !!!

I know exactly what you guys mean!... I'm a hopeful candidate as well, staying positive as best I can too.

I have some inklings that could affirm the previous posts about the rollover going to the other Quintiles project, such as observations during the interview with a rep that already appeared to have a relationship with the managers, but I could be wrong. On the other hand, if I got an offer, I would perceive otherwise. No use in guessing.

Waiting indeed is tough.

Once I hear word, I will post-

JUST received the same old email from previous weeks---"...........waiting on the go ahead from Janssen, hope to hear in the very near future........confident that we wil receive direction from Janssen soon......thank you for your patience........................." and so on and so on...........

Who is the person who wrote this post? A rep on the contract? A Quintiles manager? Credible resource can help here--- plus further insight if others could be hired. thanks.

I'm a Q rep that was previously on 7048 and am now on 6517 as of today. Like I said, 60 should be a fairly accurate, but not exact, number of reps that were still on 7048.
