6275 tic toc

I think the prospect of these (6297 & 6310) are done. What do the recruiters say? I don't know the recruiters or I would ask myself.

I think you're jumping to conclusions way to fast to say these are "done". I spoke with my manager yesterday who has been in touch with a manager friend of his who expects to be one of the 6310 dm's (a bit convoluted, I know), and what they expect is that although it may take a bit longer than originally thought, the hiring will most likely be done within a 2 week window once the DM's are in place. That old saying that "a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous" is true here, especially when it's negative knowledge.Try to be patient.

With all due respect to you, my problem is that I'm forced to turn to Cafe Pharma for news because management from top to botttom won't tell me anything. I haven't spoken with my manager since JANUARY. Will not talk to us. Trust me. I'm like Fox Mulder. I want to believe! Thanks.

I'm so surprised to hear that some managers from the 6275 bunch have gone "AWOL", as it's been referred to. I was with 6240, and although some managers have gone to other contracts (currently up and running contracts where DM's were needed), they are still vigilant about being in touch with us whenever they hear anything. I don't know of a single rep who isn't in touch w their previous manager on a regular basis. I feel for you, and can certainly understand your frustration, considering they are your lifeline, so to speak. We were also given the name of the recruiter in our area before we were even termed from our contract, and have had a chance to build great relationships with them as well. I think it's pretty sh!tty for a manager to leave their reps in the dark. Sorry to hear that!

Thanks. It's very true. I'm speaking with people all over the country who have called my manager and several others MULTIPLE times, and gotten ZERO response. At least tell us to leave you you alone if you're not going to communicate. Don't leave us wondering what happened!

Are these managers who have perhaps left NQ entirely? For those DM's who are still waiting it out for new opportunities, won't they be looking to rehire you when the time comes? Either way, at least there's always the "cafe". I think the majority of us post whatever we know as soon as we know it. Good luck to you.

For what it's worth, my manager's name is still on the group email list. If he/she left, no one told us. I wonder if he/she would answer the phone if Joe C. called. hmm...

What is your reasoning for saying this. I kind of think the same but don't know why.

6275 is becoming the thread "not to bother reading " based on senseless posts like the last few. Seriously, if you can't add something worth reading, don't bother. Wasting space is not the objective, so try to form some intelligent thoughts with at least something that supports your idea.

with time winding down for 6275 and there insurance, has anyone on the 6275 received any information on cobra from novaquest/innovex, have a family and kind of wondering what cobra is going to cost or if I need to go shopping for health insurance from separate company, any insight

$1,000 + a month for family which will hurt badly. I would like to ask Abbotts science director to pay it because if they were not such a bunch of clusterxxxxx you would not need to be asking that question. I still don't understand how Abbott screwed that up. Although the grapevine is growing again and we might not need to worry about it. But then again the grapevine has been wrong before. I would shop just to be proactive.

Does anybody think we are going to be furloughed for an additional month? It will be a true test of NQ's confidence of putting this deal together. If they are confident they will furlough us if they are not confident I believe it will be bye-bye nice knowing ya. With only 9 days left and no word it would be kind of rotten to send us down the river this late in the month and then everybody scrambling for insurance. I thought we would get news may 15 that we were going back to work, gullable I guess.

I too was wondering the same thing about insurance, i called the benefits department and asked them if and when they were going to send info on cobra for 6275 because the end of the month is approaching fast, and she stated, she being the benefits department, they have not been given any word about sending out cobra info to 6275 employees for upper management, she did state however, for a family to be covered under cobra, with the new plan under obama administration, insurance should be 600.00 a month, not $1000.00, anyway it sure would be nice to receive a pleasant email from someone regarding the company, the only thing I can assume, is the contract in question, is with allergan/endo, allergan a urology company, product sanctura, and endo pain company, which just by the way ended their contract they had with ventiv today the 22nd, so maybe after everything settles down with ventiv, they will be in cahoots with innovex, has anyone had any luck of getting interviews for anything, I have a phone screen with amgen next week for the midwest, otherwise things have been pretty slow in the job hunt market
