Not sure what the big problem is with the money we get paid. I have worked here over 10 years and I am entitled and deserve at least 150K per year. The docs know me and associate me with Genentech. yes, they are weeks in which I work 2 days and other weeks that I do not leave the house. That is just the reality of the job, but the value I bring even seeing 5 docs a month pays off well.

Chill out and enjoy the check. Not a better job out there today given the few hours we work.

Totally agree!! I did not have to leave the house the whole week to prepare for Easter with the Family. Over 3K in wages this week and no need to think about the job. This has to be the best job in the industry given how little time is needed for work.

Great job. I had an awesome weekend hosting family. Now I am able to spend the next two days at home cleaning up. Where else can you get paid over 500 dollars a day to stay at home and clean your house post Holiday. Thank you Cancer patients for providing us this lifestyle. I hope you had a great Easter.

Dude, please get over yourself. We are here at Genentech to make major jack for doing jack. Its about the Jag, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, etc.... Its about the trip to Europe, Cabo, Hawaii. Its about working as little as we can and live big. I like my big paycheck for doing nothing. I think that I can drag this out over another 10 years. Great gig, probably the best part time job in the world.

Funny, but true. I 've gone to work 4 days this month, no work Fridays. Getting a base of over 11K a month for 4 days of work for the month, not counting bonus. Sucks that people get cancer, but we really benefit being in the business. Very few pensions pay like this and I am almost 25 years from being 65 and collecting social security.

Yep many of us also made extra income thru the Roche options (at least the grants before 2014). Only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the FTEs show up on typical Fridays in SSF. Country club indeed in or out. Don't forget the mileage payment or drive the Audi Q5s and Volvos XC60 R-Design for some higher ups. Patients? Ahem - OK as long as they have insurance and if not send them over to Access and let them deal with bunch of temps there.
