#1 Ranked Company to Work For

I've recently read that Genetech is ranked #1, and is 1 of 2 (Lilly) in the top 50 to work for. I am currently a Mgr at a large pharma co, and am quite honestly a bit burned out/ready for a change. I've always thought biotech would be a nice place to go. Any thoughts/advice? What is the climate? Attitude/expectations of managment (both senior and mid-level)? Are there enforced metrics and administrative overload? Thanks for your thoughts.

Excuse me Sir, but you've come to the wrong place for sensible information regarding Genentech.

Please We dont need your big pharma nonsense. It doesnt fly here. You won't last since you actually have to do somethings and not just kiss ass and checlk boxes. Big pharma mgmt should stay in big pharma. Seriously this is biotech the reps are very experienced and older. not 22 year old smaple droppers that you're used to managing or should i say babysitting

None the less, hack big pharma management is the only thing that get placed in DM jobs now days. They would rather hire anybody fro BP than promote from the inside. Any job at DNA now days is a deadend job, no promotions from the inside.

You are soooooo wrong. Lots of internal promotions, step up and maybe you'll get one. It's not an entitlement because of how long you've been around, it's about bringing your A game .

So, what's next after Big Pharma? I'm starting to see crude oil seep from South San Francisco's ground... Can we say DNA = big oil company? How much money does Art really need?

GNE is no longer number one. It will be outranked this year by some business that outsources to China. Besides, who else would have more ad space in journals to get that ranking? Duh???

By the way, great news in the mail today on our 401K! The gig is up folks! And the stock grant will shrink like George Costanza's penis put in water!

Hey Yambag!

Get your head out of your ass, your a complete moron if your really that impressed with yourself as a "Bio-Tech" Rep...

I have worked big-pharma, biotech and now devices....A GOOD SALESPERSON IS A GOOD SALESPERSON!

Lay off the sauce' and quit coming here to boost your self esteem...

That is because all of you sheep did not fill out the survey on gGIZ. How do you think we got it last year? And for those not filling it out, we are watching you and we will inform management that you are being bad little boys and girls.

Get with the fucking program and vote for DNA again ,and again, and again!

You know what? I am happy here at Genentech. I work in the oncology franchise. I still think this is the best place to be. The healthcare environment is changing, which changes the way we do things. Yeh, DNA has hired many knuckleheads, but they have also hired some decent people.

"If you can't move the rock, go around it!" If you are not happy here, find someplace that you will be happy.

Everybody sing "If your happy and you know it clap your hands"!!!!!!

Sincerely,

#2
