Lilly and Novo competition and comparison can be an interesting subject. Each one operates in different reality. Novo Nordisk lives in its own bubble of virtual reality with government involved. Both are very protective regarding national interests. Most of Novo managers get indoctrinated at Copenhagen Business School. Lilly is more chaotic, American business style. Both make a lot of in profit from American Healthcare system, at the end from American patients and taxpayers. Novo Nordisk employees enjoy better benefits, for example long parental leave.
Both companies have problems, but this is a long story to tell.
The work is meaningful and rewarding. I work with a fantastic team of people. Most importantly, I feel fortunate to have a great paying job with benefits after being a contractor for a very long time.
Micro managers who add no value to the sales process; clueless upper management who change sales strategies & goals so often it will make your head spin, and a top down culture of " you don't like it leave " , "you're just a stupid rep & you can be replaced", Also, there is always the constant threat of layoffs regardless of performance. Worst company hands down I have ever worked for. I've got 13 years in Pharma.
Company has "disposable" mentality towards its employees. They do nothing to engender loyalty or respect, and instead have a "you should be glad we employed you" mentality. To hell with them.
