XXR Launch-What Needs To Change? Suggestions?







It's a "me too" product. Things like this always have a hard time gaining traction. Especially when insurance companies don't cover it for patients.

Well this isn't the first time a drug launch is a complete failure. There simply isn't a need for this drug. Anyone selling this flop of a drug that isn't currently looking for a new job is severely putting themselves at risk. The sales force will soon be eliminated and Mallinckrodt's new focus is Hospital sales.

I agree and so does my manager. The sales have been dismal and they have already began discussions of quietly selling off the drug to a smaller company and putting their efforts into the hospital sales environment. I am already working with a recruiter that has already acknowledged several other Mallinckrodt employees are working with their agency.
 






They need to terminate all of the remaining MNK legacy reps and merge these territories into those already filled with Inventiv reps.

They should also layoff any Inventiv reps without any XXR scripts and merge these territories also.

Next move is to terminate the MNK Regional Managers and DMs and replace them with contract employees.

Start looking for a co-promote opportunity with a big pharma partner.

Get the Pennsaid 2% samples on board like yesterday in order to gain access to the orthopods who Rx the long term high value XXR scripts.

Might be time for a mgmt and marketing reset.

In light of the FDA scrutiny of Questcor and UHC shooting down 4 out of 5 Acthar Gel leading indications, pull the plug on the acquisition and look elsewhere for a more suitable bolt on drug/organization.

Good luck holding on to the share gains MT. Once analysts get wind of what's going down with the XXR debacle, the Ofirmev price spike and hospitals booting it off formularies, the Questcor meltdown, well MNK stock could be in for a free fall.

Hope urgent action is taken to preserve jobs and enable the organization to turn it around.
 






Terminate the legacy reps? Fuck you, sparky. How about lay off the legacy reps with some well-deserved severance? And if anyone needs terminated, it's reps who have spent the least time with the organization, not the reps who have seen this company to where it is now.

Take away all of my relationships and give them to the new InVentiv territory, then blame me because I am under quota. Well, if I had been left my relationships (physician and pharmacy), instead of going 50 miles east of my home base, I would have my numbers by now.

Get rid of legacy reps, really! Merge territories with inVentiv reps, really! What does "legacy" have to do with this launch? Explain yourself Einstein. There are those of us legacy reps doing well with this launch. Sounds like a little jealousy on your part because you are not a direct employee of MNK.

Yes agreed. But on top of all that, regardless what anyone says this drug didn't not truly fill an unmet need. It's a crap drug and not worth the extra price.
 






I disagree. This drug is useful, but almost exclusively in the surgical arena.

So, after saying that, they should leave us alone and let us to after any and all surgical specialties, without a list of 125 targets. Just leave us alone and let us find the business with a list of surgeons and Percocet writing history! It will take some time for us to get traction in this market selling a CII!

Take the top XXR reps and top Cadence Reps. Fire the rest. Merge both sectors, recut territories and have all remainder calling on hospital and offices. XXR ROI does not sustain the amount of reps we currently have. MNK 155 will be the same story!

Until it's packaged in patient dose packs for surgical Pyxis dispensing / ER or hospital formulary surgeon calls will not WORK!!!!! Nor has anyone been trained appropriately to sell in the space!
