Xolair

Xolair is a buy and bill drug you fucking moron. good thing you turned down that interview

No shit Sherlock. I know alot more about the drug than you think. There are so many offices you can't even get into without any samples This job is strictly PCP's and if there is not a big budget for lunches you will never get enough time to do anything. Take it from me, this drug is good but for specialty sales. Territories are very big.

I agree. The reality is no matter how great of a rep you are, there will be some offices where there is no access if you don't have samples. If the companies are clueless about this from the start, clueless about how effectively you can sell to doctors five hours away, you wonder how many other expectations will be off.

There are also offices where there is no access even if you have samples. And lots of offices that most reps with samples can get a signature but can't see the doctors. That doesn't mean that you cannot influence what occurs in that office. There may be nurses, PA's, NP's or other personnel who can influence the decision-making of that office, and by properly developing those people you may even eventually find access to the physician. I've been in situations before where I did not have samples. This is an interesting product and a unique type of sell, and I look forward to the challenge.

I know the product well as I used to work for Novartis. yes, it is unique and different since it is Buy and Bill. Novartis had their reps calling on specialists and the PCP's - this contract will be PCP only. Although it may be a good opportunity in theory, the fact that the territories are so huge will make it difficult. PCP's should be in a concentrated area imagine driving 2 hours to see a Dr and they say "Dr Smith is not here today he's sick."
Yes there are other people to see, but ultimately, the Dr writes the RX.

Clueless? Right Genentech and Novartis are clueless. And you know what it's all about.

Folks don't listen to the past 5 or 6 posts. They are the same person who did not get an interview or didn't get hired.

Congrats to all who have recieved an offer.
We can be very successful with Xolair.

After a few visits to your offices this job will get very old very fast. Driving around in a huge territory w/ nothing your doctors can use or write as they have to refer to the ENT's for this will get old. You could do this job from home via the phone honestly. This contract will not last long.

Get your head out of the clouds. and think about it. It is not the same person posting it is several people who know that this contract doesn't pay well and even though you think it will be great, you will be driving around aimlessley in a huge territory trying to figure out how to get some more business you are not not going to get from PCP's
If they offered80-90K then maybe that would compensate, but the money was awful for the amount of travel. I had an offer and turned it down after consideration.l

If you're "driving around aimlessly(sic)" then you can't handle this job, you have to be able to think and plan strategically to make this work, not act like a typical big pharma sample-dropping pod drone.

Come back on here in 6 months and let us know how great this contract is, how you love driving 2-3 hours per day and how no PCP wants to talk to you 2 times a months about Xolair. That is if you still are working for this contract.

No problem Sparky, and you come back in 6 months complaining about the lack of job offers in the $80-90k range that give you a tiny territory, part-time hours and the awesomest samples ever that open every door and allow you not to have to think or talk. I can see why you think I'm in lala land, you've clearly got everything mapped out to perfection.
