Do you really need an MSL to sell this drug? Whats our biggest problem? Coverage, so hire people to help Us with that. The sales force was too big and needed reduction anyway. If you want to see year vs. year data goto iview and take a 52 week look. The changing of reporting companies screwed up the data and they said it will be corrected this month. Keep an eye on it and see if there are any changes to past weeks. Stop worrying about what you cant control and do your job. If we are laid off you are gonna need performance to show a future employer.

A class with only 20 reps does not address all the vacant areas.

Nothing personal, just went by what you wrote. I agree with the person you initially responded to - eg never were sales figures shared and to ‘now’ blame this on a vendor...is ludicrous. Yes, you have no idea how things should work.

Wasnt blaming it on the reporting system. I was saying that the reason numbers seem to be down across the board is because the chamge in reporting screwed up the numbers. Take a look in vital signs at weeks from q4 they are all missing units and are lower than they were when origionally reported. They said on stage there should be an increase when it’s rectified. Should we trust them? Who knows, it seems the goals are made by somebody throwing darts at a dartboard so well see. Im expecting more dossapointment when my manager calls and tells me mine up a ridiculous amount again for the third time in a row.

Xiidra is less than an eye drop in the bucket in terms of revenue for the company. And the reps here make entirely too much for selling eye drops. You are kidding yourself if you think changes are not coming. Enjoy the boondoggle and take the pay check while you can but I’d be out looking

So you think my salary of $120k plus target bonus of $35k, which non of us has hit in a year, is too much because you are willing to accept $80k. Most companies will pay 10-to 20% increase for a good rep.

No, it is entirely too much because it requires zero skills and is an eye drop. And also it generates no revenue compared especially when compared to the rest of the products in our portfolio.
