Does anyone out there have any idea of what is going on with our this organization? All of the current threads seem to be negative and pointing to the fact that the thing could fall apart any day.

Linvatec has the most innovative products and is fast to market. Linvatec has highly motivated and engaged sales professionals who the surgeons rely on. The key R&D and Marketing employees are capable of performing the procedures credibly at least in cadavers. The employees are excited about the future. Competitors fear Linvatec.
Are any of these statements true for Linvatec? They were true for Concept. Perhaps there really is no point to Linvatec anymore.
A load of nonsense on these boards.
All I can say, and I am in international, is that we are in the process of launching two great new products - potential ground breaking with the meniscus repair device.
All looks rosy from here - sales are growing, we are up 20% on last year and we have two new products to look forward to!
As far as internal politics goes, well what company does not have this? Joe Darling has done a good job rationalising things and at least give the new marketeers a chance - there was a lot of 'dead wood' there before that needed freshening and new ideas.
The AAOS was great for us in addition.
WTF? - Life goes on....
Has Linvatec recently merged with Tornier? I have a friend up in Northeast WI that mentioned that the Linvtec guy up there is also running around selling Tornier. Seems like an odd combo to me, but who knows.
I met with a recruiter yesterday and he let me now that within his network of colleagues the talk is about all of the Linvatec reps out working on making a move. So there must be something to "the load of nonsense" on these boards.
When you bring up the two new products you must be talking about the suture passer and the meniscal repair device. Wow! These will get us back in the sports medicine market. Suture passer is still not readily available after what, three years. Sorry everyone else has it now. This menscal reapir device is unique, but the truth is that there are very few meniscal repairs done. Oh and by the way Linvatec bought the device, they didn't develop it.
Joe Darling......please. Does the guy even exist.
Best thing that you can do, like your buddies, is pack up your brown paper bags and move on - away from the company. We do not need a bunch of loosers like you and your like.
So, push the recruiter - I am sure you can find something else.
I assume by calling someone a loser, you feel like a winner. Perhaps just like Charley Sheen you are winning. Having experienced reps bail decreases product knowledge and adversely affects surgeon relationships. Often means a direct loss of business if the products aren't well differentiated. That your plan?
Charlie Sheen could run this company much better.
I understand he is available!
He finally figured out how to put food on the table...by selling another company's products.
Being one of the most successful reps at Linvatec is a bit like being a medalist at the Special Olympics, isn't it though...?
I don't get the negativity from the Linvatec people. I sold S & N for years and while I didn't think the local rep did justice to the line, with respect to implants/disposables, your autoclavable camera was hands down the best in the biz. NOBODY could touch that camera. Now, with hospitals eating the expense's incurred from a patient getting an infection, how hard is it to sell that it? Steris and Sterrad cannot guarantee sterility, yet Linvatec can. The Linvatec shaver, with the great white and that huge ass burr, was seriously a challenge to beat and S & N OWNED the shaver business. I dunno, I am an outsider now, but am familiar with some of your newer products and just scratch my head wondering why everyone is bitching.
