It’s one thing to be ambitious and grab more…it’s another when you then won’t reward or even acknowledge the people below you that keep you in that spot! Flying below the radar and not advancing your team is not the job of VP anywhere. Aggressive meritocracy; MT is not a leader and I warn anyone that considers hiring him in the future.
The VP and his subjects don’t know how to lead. They are only trying to survive and the more distance between the power and the people that get it done-the longer they survive. Look at the new add ons-ridiculous bunch of naive followers. We should be concerned about how this will impact patients and the business. No leader at AZ cares about being likes or respected for their skill. They aren’t any better than SD and a lot like MT-middle of the road no opinion -no real knowledge and no b-lls.
I think polling has closed…Shane Doyle and Michael Teehan and the worst leaders in a shell of what was a great company to work for. Frat house leadership at its best.
The evidence has always been there that these are the worst two in the entire organisation, but when does anyone take any notice. Our CEO or at least HR should be asking these questions, there are enough of us willing to speak up about them if given the chance.

So glad to see this thread and acknowledgement of the truth, but it sad because good talented people will have to leave the oppressive global ops regime to advance their careers. Alexion is a good company that lives their values and will suffer in the long run. Many execs and VP are leaving in a few months so all of this will fall on deaf ears! If you are complacent, stay. If you want more for yourself, look elsewhere in Alexion, AZ, or outside the company.
