• Make it like cafepharma, but for different industries: over the years we’ve had suggestions for creating a site similar to cafepharma, but for different industries. Now there is a place. Worst Managers?

This article reminds me of old-school GNE management. I had some great managers here but such a shame big pharma sociopaths have been allowed in. We see the sad results daily. Thanks to those of you who still believe in serving your teams. HR are you paying attention?

HR does not pay attention, they wait until the best reps leave before intervening and getting rid of bad managers. At least the company finally wised up to the dimwit S.W. (HER2 in Pacifc NW) and a few others but it was long overdue and very costly for the company as a result of a lot incompetence.

Sooo. HR doesn't do exit interviews, you get a random survey. HR does not address problems they record who complains in case there's a possible lawsuit. You couldn't crawl to the front door at HR and get help.

Be fair - assault, battery, and extreme verbal abuse MIGHT get their attention. But, then, there would need to be multiple witnesses all notarized.

Verbal abuse should be enough to have at least an inquiry and talk with the abuser. Police Officers are pressured to resign when they verbally abuse citizens. It should be the same for Pharma managers.

HR however does not protect the complainant, they are there to protect the harassser and in turn, the company. Sad but true.
