Worst experience ever!

<

very political it's not what you know or your experience but who you know.

This is why they have so many failures in launching new products. People are placed in positions because they know someone. Oh well this will catch up.

The implication that somehow hiring is based on 'who you know' vice 'what you know' is very disturbing. TOTALLY false !! Moreover the rank & file are hired based on qualifications, need, and social fairness. Be assured just dumping reams of resumes into HR will not help you land a coveted position.

Hey anonymous. Regarding your arrogant “LMAO” response: Why is it funny that a candidate spends valuable time preparing and traveling to an interview that has no chance of going anywhere?

Can’t believe this is a serious post, but if so have an obligation to respond. Leadership does not owe anyone the privilege of expecting an appointment or interview to be guaranteed. If that position was filled then so be it. Remember: you travel and prepare for an interview at your own risk ... you must be a newbie or a very naïve applicant.

Advice: move on and next time CONFIRM the slot is open before you prep for the interview. And that said, education and experience are not key discriminators for the selection.

Because this whole thread is a BIG LIE !

What is a lie? It IS rude to interview someone whom is genuinely interested and qualified and not inform them if they are moving forward or not and then re-post the same job? It is called basic manners and common respect. It does say a lot about leadership if this is acceptable. Some of the comments here are sad, I expected better from reps with "coveted" jobs. How can a manager expect reps to give great service if we start off like this?

You are stupid if you think someone does not CONFIRM an interview. Really? Most people are interviewing the company too which is why employees like you give Abbvie a bad name.

Calm down Jack !!
Look, I am a DM interviewing many dozens of apps over the years. It is a fact that a significant number of apps are dumb as a brick and don’t measure up at all even though many actually have college degrees. (Hence that is no longer an advantage.) Reality: occasionally a position gets filled even before the last app comes in, usually this is because someone blows our socks off at the interview or is someone 'special'.
Please accept his.

The point is the person had an interview and never heard back or is expected to wait? That is unacceptable and I doubt you are a DM because you sound very sophmoric given your language. Most people do not apply for a job they are not qualified for. Maybe the DM’s should be better educated on company or standard protocols. If a person has given time for an interview, they do deserve a courtesy email at the very least. Speaks volumes on why some areas love Abbvie and others do not!!! You are obviously one of “those” DM’s that create negativity (or reps who pretend to be a DM on this site).

Isn't this just a pretend site? Wow, have I ever been mislead all these years!
