Will Rotech be around long?

Maybe he's Renee's newest recruit...All pumped and ready to hit the ground running...

I hope he likes conf calls at 5. But hey...since he is that pumped up...bet no one will be on that call. They WILL be getting five a week, if not more.

Best of luck to him.

I'd say good luck and break a leg....but if he get's pulled in to the level of the last AM. He just might break a leg getting up into a LOX truck.

Keep our fingers crossed he works out

The last Am tried, he was pulled in so many ways, but still couldnt make her happy and keep the locations running. Here is a case of keeping the Rm happy or "patient care"..He cared about the service we offer the patient and say we offer to the referrals. However that wasnt good enough. Hope this guy knows how to do the PST work, certainly gonna need him.

Bingo! The last AM worked overtime on helping out the locations. No matter which one asked for help...he was there for them in any way he could help.

I hope your are right and he does know how to be a PST too.

ONO's.......As SR I am expected to get 5 ONO's per week. A lot of labor with little pay-off. I do all the deliveries and pick-ups to patients homes. Some of the homes are in bad areas where you need a body guard to ensure your safety. This activity of ONO's accounts for 33% of my day. A lot of driving between the pick-up of the ONO and then delivery of second one. I do not trust PST to do them and want to ensure they are done right. The results of ONO's are 1 out of 5 yields and O2. I have tracked ONO's for the past 3 months and it is a frustating activity that really does not yeild O2. I am not sure this is the best use of my time to make $100 bonus per week.

Please advise how to make the ONO's yeild more O2.

Are you one of the lucky ones who doesnt have to do the paperwork and the download, which also takes a good amount of time..Paper work has to be done so the patient can be billed. Any 80 yo will sign thinking the doctor ordered this test and I have to do it!

Dont forget the 184.00 per pay every two weeks for your mileage at almost 4.00 a gallon. Profitable, No but get the onos to keep management off your back. While they are out to lunch having a glass of wine. Or putting around the golf course, Bring in the business!

By starting with your own office....work together...have an LCM that can get everyone excited to be part of it all....and you will drift more to the ONO's that are going to PRODUCE for you :)

Would be nice, but when you work so short staffed it is impossible to get anyone excited they are all STRESSED.

That's a valid point! Maybe you should do what the one store in my area does...anyone that is coming off of O2 they do an ONO on R/A...gotta build the numbers. Even if there is no hope of a set up down the road. No one up the tree pays attention or it would have been stopped months ago.

Because of the level of "unspoken pressure" on the locations to do them...this is the type of stuff they do...and guess who get's hurt....the patient/s who are charged for it and their ins companies do not cover all of it.

So right, we do that too..gotta have the almighty number..they dont care if the patient gets billed....they will say you should have done it at no charge since the patient is already set up and we have to make sure they dont desat. well we all know we have to have 5 ono so we will do one on anyone, those daily calls are brutal, right Renee, but you keep inviting us on them

Would it not be fantastic to have the bulk of the people say NO, I am not doing the call.

THAT would be funny...and pretty darn brave in some areas where job's are not plentiful. That is what they count on..the fear factor of keeping all in line.

Sad...the patient's pay in the end.

Just over a week to go for the new AM....let's see his fresh ideas for getting the ONO's.

Does Rotech Really Performing Overnight Oximemitry (ONO) on patients that really do not need it and bill Medicare and other insurance companies?

Is Renee somehow promoting Medicare/Insurance Fraud by instisting on 5 ONO's per week and forcing the location/store to conduct uncessary testing on patients. (She once told me to conduct ONO on anybody that has a cane).

Is the 5 per week so Rotech gets a "kickback" from testing lab or does Renee get the "kickback" personally.

Why else would they insist on conducting 20 ONO's a month with a yeild of two O2s per month? With SR chasing after the ONO and dedicating 3 hours per day to this activity. Very expensive when you consider payroll of SR for so little pay out in bonus.

Oxygen is a low cost item and very profitable for the company however, bottom feeding is not the way to improve a company.

Rotech needs new ideas and a make-over.

Doctors consider Rotech "Bottom Feeders" always scavenging for anything to stay alive. Not a good reputation.
